The FA and FIFA are in talks to extend the transfer deadline beyond 5pm today because of the adverse weather conditions in the UK affecting the ability of players to travel for contract talks and medicals.

Because deals cannot be concluded without a full medical for insurance reasons.
With the weather as it is, a player might not be able to get from point A to point B, to do the medical.

To be fair A Fiat Punto would fair much better in this weather than a 4 wheel drive car. On the small roads here 4 wheel drive cars unless they had off road tyres would only be spinning due to the fatness of the tyres and no grip whereas smaller cars especially front wheel drive cars with skinny tyres can cut through the snow.tricky trev said:
