Extended transfer deadline?.

The FA and FIFA are in talks to extend the transfer deadline beyond 5pm today because of the adverse weather conditions in the UK affecting the ability of players to travel for contract talks and medicals.

Maybe to allow for players to attend medicals and stuff?

Because deals cannot be concluded without a full medical for insurance reasons.

With the weather as it is, a player might not be able to get from point A to point B, to do the medical.

Pretty simple stuff really.

Some parts of the country are worse than others and roads, such as the M1 and M25, are closed in places so travelling along them is impossible!

Also, many forms of transport, i.e. buses, trains and aeroplanes are out of service.

I'd say the weather was making travel difficult as only Premiership clubs have teleporters.

No surprise, haven't you heard? The whole country shuts down when we have a couple of inches of snow.

Schools shut.

Boilers blowing up.

buses and trains stop running.

Postmen and binmen being killed.

meanwhile in new york they have 4 foot of snow and nothing changes.

The deadline is being extended to allow Harry Redknapp more time to moan and whinge about the state of his Spurs squad.

And to allow him more time to line his filthy pockets with the proceeds of dodge deals.

Haven't all these footballers got 4 wheel drives these days, not riding around in a fiat punto are they?

Heavy cars are worse. I live at the top of a very steep hill with a very busy road at the bottom. This morning I decided to break but the car decided that wasn't a good idea and turned into a sledge.

4x4s get you going through anything. They don't help you stop though.

So it's not shutting then. :D

I've really gone of this guy, sad really he was supposed to be old school but just shows he's as money motivated as anyone.

I remember when he used to moan about clubs trying to poach his players when at Portsmouth and West Ham, funny thing is he's the one doing the poaching now.

To be fair A Fiat Punto would fair much better in this weather than a 4 wheel drive car. On the small roads here 4 wheel drive cars unless they had off road tyres would only be spinning due to the fatness of the tyres and no grip whereas smaller cars especially front wheel drive cars with skinny tyres can cut through the snow.
