Exciting Times...

Is it just me, or is this the most exciting off-season in recent memory?

We've got a forward thinking and talented manager, a decent, young squad and some quality loanees who want and look likely to sign here permanently. Our board seems to have put up substantial money for us to sign plenty of excellent talent to play in a league next season that will be chock full of local sides.

I can't wait.

If Dan is positive about Forest, we all should be! :D ::)

A nagging part of me is still worried that we will put a low price on every player we are interested in and refuse to budge on it. Derby will offer better contracts to every free transfer we are after and Newcastle will sign Chris Cohen. We will all sit around on deadline day refreshing our computers until the window shuts without a peep from Forest.

Rob Earnshaw will get injured in preseason and we will have Garner and Sinclair upfront*.

How's that for pessimism.

*not that I don't rate Joe Garner.

Clifford, please don't say that, put the negative, past-trend thoughts to the back of your mind!!

I wish we were keeping the loanees.

Sadly the Gunters, Andersons etc. I don't think are staying. I would love to see Gunter stay here I think he has been top class since he came here.

Billy seems pretty adament that he wants Gunther for another season, and I see no reason why not, he may be quality, but I don't see him in the Spurs team just yet.

Anderson I believe has played his last game for us though, which is a shame.

I disagree and here's why - I think we know most of our targets already. Rob Jones, possibly Camp, Blackstock etc.

I always find it more exciting when we have no idea who's coming and they pull Chris Cohen and Arron Davies out of the bag.

Football wise though, I'm already looking forward to pre-season. :)

Yup, I'm starting to crave transfer news and the pre season already. It should be a good build up this summer.

Don't be stupid.... We'll release Sinclair, Garner will be up top on his own.

Don't forget, the close season is shit. We normally spend it falling out and arguing on here.
