They asked for a Historian recently, again it was to work office hours, but was unpaid.
Suppose this is something that would be grand for a someone graduating this summer, whose parents live in Notingham and could afford to feed them for the duration.
There was a discussion about the abuse of "internships" in London on radio 4 the other day.
They reckon that if they stopped having them fleet street, TV, advertising and even parliament would stop working due to the number of unpaid workers they use.
The abuse happens when they're not actually training them but using them to do work instead of having an employee, some people end up doing it for a year or more.
Having just graduated, this is something that I would be willing to do. The fact that it's 3 months unpaid makes it almost impossible though. All I'd ask is for them to reimburse my travel expenses.
