Elliot Junior Anderson OF ENGLAND!

People saying that Anderson will leave in the summer, I'm not surprised.

Looks like he's being paid pennies by Marinakis and needs a side hustle to survive

Ornstein saying that Arsenal have now made enquires.

This is what we wanted. He's off regardless so a bidding war is the best scenario.
I'd be surprised if - Spurs aside, obviously - any of the entitled cartel haven't enquired Notch. Hopefully, a decent WC from him will also alert the likes of Bayern, PSG and RM?

I was amused to see a headline this week affirming that "Manchester United are considering buying Anderson", clearly suggesting that, irrespective of whether that's his preferred destination, that they can decide/dictate the required amount he'll cost. Yeah, right.

Meeting fellow players from the various teams we play in the EPL plus chatting with his contemporaries at the England camps will have enabled him to decide which clubs interest him, both here and, if he wants to move away, abroad.

I reckon at the moment, the world is his oyster, so I'd enjoy it, decide on a club that suits, both personally and professionally and make that move. This is his time, so it makes sense, for all parties, for him to move. We get top dollar and he gets the move of his dreams.

Shame to see him go, but it appears inevitable.

Arsenal and City linked again today.

Newcastle, you having a laugh 😂

I think it's pretty obvious what's happening here.

Howe has rang Arteta & Guardiola up and said to them:
"Look, my directors want to do that incremental bid thing rather than pay the asking price.

Can you put a bid in please so our owners can just offer the asking price?" and Newcastle will get him.

Not sure if it's been posted elsewhere... as a side note, I am still immature enough to always laugh when I see an article by Nick Mashiter

Comparing him to Gazza is way off. Certainly as far as goal scoring is concerned!

It is a pretty crappy comparison, surely only based on the fact they are both from the north east.

As a player he is closest to Gerrard, who’s style of midfield has pretty much gone in the modern game where you either get attacking or defensive midfielders, not many all action ones that do both like Gerrard & Anderson

He will be if he starts scoring goals.
It's something I expect him to improve over the next couple of years.

Gazza comparison is just bbc clickbait. The comments are, as always, fascinating. Perhaps if Anderson played for Crystal Palace the average armchair brain would think he was half decent. As it stands, the Forest badge seems to be doing him no favours with Joe Public.

Gerrard is the same comparison I've had in mind for a while.

It was blindingly obvious how good he would become. I remember saying on here that after I watched him almost 3 years ago in a preseason against chesterfield on the left hand side that he would be moved into central midfield and within 6 games he'll be our main man and probably our best player.

Do you go and watch many Newcastle pre season friendlies with a scouting list from the club?
