I think we've all pretty much known as soon as he got into the England team and did well, he wasn't staying beyond this season.
Even if we'd been in the Champions League and been up there again, there is obviously a tier of clubs above us that players will want to go to for a litany of reasons.

It shouldn't be lower than £80m but I think assuming it's BEFORE the World Cup, it won't be £100m.

I just hope he doesn't take his foot off the gas towards the run in with one eye on the world cup and not wanting to get injured.

We go down, I'd guess you can knock 25-35% off transfer values.

Also, hope he delays until after the WC just so we can say we have a World Cup winner, if only for a week or two.

I'd still hope that Forest get their shit together, stay up easily, and win the Europa League, with players like Anderson and MGW shining.

If we're in the Champions League, with a squad starting to really sparkle, we might not have to sell our stars. (Though financially we might need at least one big sale to pay for an ace striker).

If you take Rice as the benchmark price for a similar profile, along with EM's history of bargaining power, I'd be very surprised if the price isn't somewhere near £100m. I also wouldn't be surprised if he's still with us next year with a new bumper deal like MGW. Pretty sure hes got at least two years left so we are in a position of power with him (as with all our big players i think)

When you have the likes of Arsenal and City sniffing around with genuine interest it's safe to assume the player is as good as gone, those are both clubs who won't shy away from paying £100m+. As for the players decision it's a no brainer, ridiculous wages and medals practically guaranteed

We're not dealing with Spurs this time

If City etc are lining up proper bids then he's gone - even if we were in the the PL and CL he'd go as we're not a team that's gonna win either.

The only caveat is the character of the man - if he likes us and the city and wages are right and he's already made the England team at the WC then who knows he might consider staying but we'd need to convince him have a plan for next season in place with a manager he wants to work with that gives him the reassurance that the madness if behind us and we can be contenders again like last season but those are massive IFs on top of several other big ifs.

We can only judge from the outside but he definitely looks to be all about the football and everything else will look after itself. Cloughie would have loved him.

With 3 years left on his contract and if Nuno was still in charge, we were midtable and seriously challenging for the EL I don't see any way he'd try and force a move. But the absolute shit show behind the scenes means he'd be mad not to. Putting his football first means getting away from the madhouse I'm afraid.

He might go to a City or Arsenal but I’m not convinced he’d be playing every week in those sides. Up to him what he wants I suppose.

I watched the Europa game last night, but still unsure why Anderson received a yellow card, anyone explain please?

One of the players chosen to show off new England strip - suggests ( if we didn’t know already ) his name is inked in for World Cup squad.

He mentioned to the referee that it should be handball.
European refs don't like that shit.

He already got a red card for behaving like an idiot against Sturm Graz I think it was.
