Elliot Anderson

Im not convinced he will leave.

Seems very settled, a huge family feeling at the club, other great players recently signed contracts or are likely to (Aina, Murillo, MGW, Neco), that is the signpost of intent by EM.

As many have said, give a red line for it to be completed before the WC, or its a NO, FRO to assess replacements.

Take the gamble on keeping him and the enticement of investment with future European football after next season.

Admire your optimism mate, but Forest can’t turn down £100m+ and I suspect Elliott can’t turn down what could be a 300pc pay rise and CL football. Agree there needs to be a deadline though - we can’t have an 8 week circus with us missing out on replacements. I think this will be done within the next few days.

Hey Manchester City with your 115 cheat codes.

Pay up or shut up.

We're setting the price, not you and as everyone in football knows you cheat financially that price is going to be so astronomically high that you'll have to ask your legal team to take a pay cut to get you off your charges.

Welcome to the new World order, where, as Spurs found out last summer, Nottingham Forest don't roll over for one of the protected big clubs.

Loads of keyboard warriors saying that he's not that good, isn't worth the money etc. As if that's ever going to make EM bring the price down!

We have an asset, the price is set. It's not Forest that have driven the prices up and up over the previous seasons. Bitch all you like, but either pay it or don't pay it. It's really that simple.
"Worth £60M tops"

"Nowhere near as good Tonali, get him instead"

"He'll be furious, he clearly wants to play for a massive club and not one with an empty ground, no fans and a championship manager"

"Who the f*ck do that championship club think they are asking for that money"

"He's nowhere near City standard anyway"

I've seen every comment imaginable. They're such a bunch of insufferable deluded twats.

Gutted he is leaving but it was inevitable he would go to a top Champions League challenging club. He is one of the best players we have ever had in the Forest kit. I still pinch myself that we are in the position to have players like this. Who was it that managed to pull off the reported 20 mill plus the dodgy keeper for him? One of the greatest value for money deals in Oremier League history.

£100 mill is about right in my opinion but hopefully Marinakis can get some lucrative bonuses attached. Whilst it leaves a hole in midfield, that money is a game changer for recruiting a top striker which has to be one of the priorities.

Obviously I don’t know him personally but Elliot doesn’t seem like the kind of person to down tools. Would be extremely surprised if he’s still here at the first game of next season however, if he is he’d give his all I don’t doubt that.

This is the beauty of last summer, that MGW situation genuinely couldn’t have worked out any better for us based on the reputation it gave us if people want to buy our players

I suspect Marinakis has quite a good relationship with Citeh. I think this will happen and I think future deals between the clubs could well happen too.

Conversely I wouldn’t be predicting much business between Forest and Spurs or Man Utd 😂

All good reasons not to go on X or other such media.

Anthony Gordon went for £70m and I am seeing reports City value Anderson at £80m utter madness is you use the Gordon fee as a stating point. I get forward players tend to often go for more money. But if you use the Enzo and Rice fees as a starting point add in football inflation as those fees were a couple of years ago honestly I don’t think £115-120m is being unrealistic here.

If they don’t want to pay the money he stays simple as and his value will just rise and rise.

Anyone know if add ons are included for squad cost ratio purposes or PSR or whatever they are calling it now?

So if we sell for £100m + £10m is adds ons how does that work I assume as he might not hit all the add ons it gets booked as a £100m?

My real concern here is how we invest the money having got it so wrong last year. I remember Spurs wasting the Bale money it’s so easy to do.

Fully agree we need to try and get this done ASAP while getting the fee EM wants at the same time. We don’t want a repeat of last season and getting in players late who in many cases I feel we’re panic buys.

It’s just a shame it would have been nice to see a Forest player in the England team for the World Cup. It’s been a while since that last happened. But whatever needs to happen for the good of our club must be done.

EM should insert a buyback or loan back clause on the deal should City be relegated if he does that and we get £115m fee that would be pretty funny…

The good thing about this is that Forest hold all the aces.

Not because Marinakis is a tough negotiator, although it helps, but because Anderson has stated he's happy to stay if he has to.

So he won't be moaning to Forest to let him go for a smaller fee than what they want.

I think there will be an element of pride at play too. If you're Elliot Anderson I'd imagine you're thinking "£80m?! f*** off, I'm worth way more than that".

Surely those Opta stats posted the other day showing he's arguably the best PL midfielder both in and out of possession should quieten them down.
You are assuming the thick f***ers can read.

Phone rings.....

EM - Hello, who is dis?

City - It's Manchester City, how are you?

EM - Forget all that, what do you want?

City - We want Elliot Anderson, we've agreed terms and value him at £80m, so that is our bid.

EM - Is that right. Well, i value him at £1m per charge, so it's £115m upfront or get to f*ck you cheating slags.
