Eddie Nketiah

I'm Red Till Dead

Stuart Pearce
What happened?

I saw that he wanted a guarantee that he would be our number one forward. That's not a guarantee that a club can make is it? You're not going to guarantee him a slot on the pitch if he's not playing well are you. Only an entitled fool is going to think a club will.

I don't know why but I just preferred Gimenez, but we probably won't get him either.

I read an Arsenal account saying it all collapsed because we wanted to insert a 75% wage reduction clause if we got relegated.

Its doubtful whether that is accurate of course but I think if we were within the confines of the M25 he'd have signed already.

Wanted to be guaranteed a starting berth?

Yeah okay, son  ...

Disappointed whenever a player doesn't recognize the potential - best of luck to him if Palace is considered a better project by him.

Shame, I was stood at Southampton and thought we could do with some movement as well as pace in behind to keep up with Elanga.

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on at Palace.

All aboard the Gimenez train.

Well at least we know we are willing to spend £30m-£40m on a forward
I would imagine their are lots of decent strikers in world at that price point

I think he would have been a very good signing for us because I have hunch he would have clicked with MGW, CHO and Elanga. But I respect the club for not giving in to exorbitant demands. I actually think we don't need to panic over signing a third striker. The chances are that Wood and Taiwo will do us until the winter window. If there's an available Plan B now, we will go for it, but if we have to wait, so be it.

As a player he might have clicked and done well but if the talk of his demands are true then as a person and member of the team/club then I don’t think he’s the one for us.

Yeah. Romano reported he'd agreed terms last week so his demands might actually be reasonable. Then it was delayed perhaps because of the Jesus injury, then perhaps Nketiah got wind of the Fulham and Palace interest - can't blame him too much for wanting to at least consider those options, especially as I'd argue he'd be more likely to be the first choice striker at both of those clubs.

Sauce salad?
Not sure what you mean, that would make him more keen not less, no?
I'm taking the piss - there was a signing a couple of years back (might have been Morgan?) who it was suggested wouldn't come because we lost at the weekend (and that was the reason given to why he wouldn't come).

He probably watched our performance against Southampton.
I know this was a joke, but in all seriousness he might be questioning playing time/the likelihood of him being the regular starter.

Plus he might fancy stating in London or jetting off to Europe somewhere…

If he's happy to come to Forest then. I'm Glad he's not coming, we want player who will want to give it there all time to move on he can rot at the Arse
