For some reason I really wouldnt like to see Earnshaw in a Forest shirt. There is something about him I hate, never liked him at all.

I seriously do not want Earnshaw, I hope we don't get him.
Sorry for my lack of reasoning, I just seriously despise him, he has always struck me to have an attitude problem, if we are going to spend about a 1 million pound sterling for him, why can't we buy Hoskins for 500k agreed as part of the loan deal, and try and get Ormerod, Ormerod would only be around 200,000 pound sterling, so that leaves us with 300,000 pound sterling, that could be spent on strengthening another part of the team.

I hope we do get him, he is a good goalscorer at this level but i heard from my uncle (derby fan) that his attitude stinks and doesnt play cause he doesnt train?!

The last thing we need is someone with a bad attitude.

I do, however, think Calderwood is too shrewd to buy someone with a poor attitude.

For all of his faults, he certainly kicks the tyres quite thoroughly of any purchase.

Earnshaw is one of those, when he's on a roll you want him, if he's playing badly, his attitude goes and he couldn't hit a barn door. Personally I think he'd be a good signing, as he is less injury proned than some of the strikers we have, has pace to burn and is proven at Championship level.

And just think how good it'l be when he scores the winner at Prideless Park

I hope it is us but calderwood and the club don't really rush into transfers but we did snap arron davies n chris cohen pretty sharpish last season. I know a lot of people dont like him because he apparently has a bad attitude but we seem to have a nice bunch of lads here and he could slot right in.

Just now been looking round message boards to get some more info, there is nothing on the sheff utd forums and cardiff fans reckon we've made the bid as they have a cup final in 6 days so they wouldn't sign players.

I really hope it is us and I really hope we get him.

Ignore anything you've heard on the grapevine, or any reservations you have about signing a so-called 'Derby reject' - this man scores goals.

Think thats a little harsh given the amount of time Hoskins has played.

I think he means more literally - ie. the back problem.

Neither do I. I think there are better strikers out there for the prices mentioned and personally, i don't like him!

Pele, Best, Maradona, Batistuta, Eusebio, Hurst, Baggio, Francis and Ronaldo.

All players, if in their prime, could not score for a team as piss poor as Derby.

Dobie had a lot of injury problems, but I don't think any of them were with his Back.

The major, reoccurring issue (that we sent him to America for extensive & expensive surgery on) was with his Hip. Coming back from that, he also picked up a knee injury and numerous thigh strains.

Could've sworn I can remember him having a back problem, but I can't find any reference to it so maybe I'm making it up..

Maybe you're thinking of Johnno, who basically had his career ended early by repeated Back injuries?

Dobie had so many injury problems that it's entirely possible a back related injury was in there somewhere, but his Hip was definitely the big one.

Hmm, I don't think I'd confuse the two - Dobie was a professional with a work ethic who was unlucky with injuries; Johnno was, well, Johnno.

Even with a couple of suspicious looking women ? ;D

Earnshaw has persistently scored goals everywhere (except the obvious but it wasn't like he had a great provider was it ?)

Good player, seemingly nice guy. Don't forget the the chairman, cc, etcetc vet every signing for potiential troublemakers !
