Earnie to leave for £5m?

Right, first up apologies for possibly the weakest transfer thread ever - which is saying something.

After last nights crock of shit, I decided to get right royally pissed in the Southbank, and don't remember a hell of a lot.

However, I do recall someone mentioning that some club or other have unofficially offered us £5m for Earnshaw. I'd not heard this one before, but the other folk he was talking to seemed to have heard the same, and there was someone from the club in on the conversation.

That's all I remember. Is this common knowledge and if so, where's he meant to be going to?

The way he played last night, I'm a bit worried that he didn't look that arsed. Very unlike him. It's made my hangover worse all of this, so please put my mind at ease.

I thought against Reading and West Brom, he looked quite up for it.

Doubt he's going anywhere and hope to hell he's not.

This is on TalkForest...

I overheard some guy talking saying that Billy is considering a 5mill bid from Boro for Earnshaw and 'arry redknapp has agreed to let us have Dawson as he doesnt want to sell to another premiership club.

I for one think its a load of shite but I just thought I'd put it out there incase anyone else heard something.

Simple as that really.

So a player, who at the height of his powers and atthe height of 'free cash' unlimited spending cost a prem outfit 3.65m, is now, when there is a slump on even in football) is worth £5m

:D :D :D

No way this is happening. If BD said Yes, the ND would block the move anyway

Yes £5m is a lot of money but who would we be able to replace him with?

I wouldn't swap him for any other striker in The Championship

I would give them 5mil and Earnshaw for Dawson, however I would defiantly say there is no truth in this. No source needed.

Blackstock is better anyway, Earnie is so overated

As sad as I would be to see him go, if the £5m was spent on Daws, it would be good business.

No chance. Earnie is the best striker we have.

Proven not good enough for the Prem, misses constantly, scores occasionally and every one thinks he's a God

Almost goal every other game for over 350 career appearances - you're right, he's rubbish......

I do not want to sell Earnie.

No club would pay 5m for him so selling him would not benefit us at all.

Didn't he have one season in the Premiership where he scored about 14 goals with West Brom?

Anything over about 10 in the Premiership proves that a player can score goals at that level.

Six of one......

I doubt theres another strker we could realistically get for that money - even IF we cold get that much for him.

Dont really want Dawson back, as much of a legend as he was, think he uns the risk ofreturning players who dont perform...

Earnie IN, along with Defenders!!!!

Dawson is better than any of our backline.

If he leaves Spurs he could do a hell of a lot better than us sadly.

Dont get me wrong, could be a load of bull**** and I for one hope it is....and think it is!!

ok, I just personally think Blackstock has the potential to be a better player and that Earnshaw is overated (in my opinion) because he misses a lot of chances before he scores, although I admit he does score!
