Earnie north bound?

Still one of my favourite Forest players (and would be gutted) but heard a whisper (nothing more) that a top Jock team wants him - Wasn't told which one but likely to be one from Glasgow. Champions League football, a nice pay day and chance of scoring regular might be enough? I hope not!

Sounds like a good deal for Earnie........ would it be a good one for forest though??

Any idea how much we're talking??

Hope your wrong mate!

Really like Earnie and think he's still got a bright future here!

If its under 3mill I would be slightly dissapointed but hey its not like we've missed him when he's dropped or injured

BD said he wants "strength in depth", and with that we now have 6 strikers which means we never start fatigued/tired players.

However, he is nearing 30, and an offer above 3million could be too good to refuse.

Got to agree with that. If we want 6 strikers and Earnie went for 3 mill then I am sure we could replace him with some of the cash in January. Not a problem.
Ha ha ha as I was typing that, the dire shot from Dickov from last nights football league show just flashed through my mind! :D

I to hope that he does`nt leave, but! if they were to get a good price for him, then surely he will be on his way, i know we have`nt seen much of him this season through injury but if they can secure a good price then it might be better all round if the was to leave.

But i also hope that Billy boy has a good replacement in mind for him, and that the transfer panel and ND let Billy have the full amount to get in another striker and that they don`t cock it up!

I love earnie and would love him to spend the rest of his career here. But isn't it showing how Billy striker policy is working ! We have a top rate striker out injured, but he can be replaced in the side by another with different qualities ! Absolutely fantastic. remember last season when he was injured ? We were lost without him !

I'd hate him to go, but if he wants to taste European footy and be at a huge club like Rangers you can't really argue with him going !

As if there are any other teams in scotland with the pull.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him go to Newcastle or Boro and if we got 3m+ for him I wouldn't mind.

If he was to leave I would prefer him going north of the border rather than to a rival.

But again, Billy has said all along he is not in the market to sell, he doesn't need to and he doesn't want to so it would take a big offer to tempt Billy to sell him.

After all the recent injuries etc I cannot see BD letting him go, especially if Tyson is out for a month.

He's not likely to be sold now since he's still not fit yet , in the january transfer window perhaps. I wouldn't mind selling Earnie if it is 3 to 4 million. Earnie never got going this season and i can't really see him fitting in with Billy's gameplan. if the money we get for him is put into good use , i would sell him.

He is not being played, despite being well enough to mow his lawn in November, to soften us all up for his leaving.

Hi there this is my very first post.

Earnie needs to stay. When fit and confident, he is without a doubt our best natural goal scorer we have.

Welcome to the forum :tophat:
I agree but wonder when he's ever going to get a run of games for us.
I'm beginning to think Dex and Earnie up front at home and then play the 5 man midfield with Dex up front away.

thanks :)

I agree earnie and dex should def be first 2 on the team sheet for every home game, and against the weaker away trips. i.e Derby :D
