Nottingham Forest could be without Robert Earnshaw for up to a month.

The striker picked-up a calf injury while training with Wales last week and could, according to manager Billy Davies, be out of Forest's plans for "three to four weeks."

Earnshaw was preparing for Wales' World Cup qualifier against Finland when the problem flared up.

And although he flew to Helsinki for the game, he was released from the Wales squad on Friday and immediately headed back to England to

Arse. Oh well, good job we've got 5 more strikers. Why do I get the feeling Earnie just isn't going to get his season started?

I got that feeling when he put a penalty wide - and then I got a similar feeling again when he managed to poke his foot in the way to deny Adebola a certain goal.

I have the feeling hes had an injury since the start of the season anyway.. which could explain why hes started so few games.

Towards the end of last season he had a knee problem, for which he wore a band across his tibial tuberosity - I reckon this could be some chronic issue.

Good thing that we are not so reliant on him for goals anymore.

Looks like this season just isn't going to be earnshaw's season with his poor form and injury problems.

I'd imagine his latest injury is related to his previous one(s) and personally, I don't think he's been fit all season so far.

T'was going wide anyway.

I seem to remember Earnshaw's foot coming into contact with the ball just as the ball was about to go over the line - so I reckon it was going in.

Either way, with 5 other strikers to choose from, we should be able to do without a striker who are going to miss chances like that.

We are talking about the same chance aren't we? The one where Earnie hit it over the bar? Blackburn game?

If so, it was most definitely going wide as I was perfectly in line and could see it was going wide. Earnie should have done better though - he seemed to twist round & try & heel it in

But as you say, we have 5 other strikers, so can cover for Earnies loss of form & injury.

The one where he hit it over the bar from about 2 or 3 yards away. Yes, that one. :(

Calf injury? I thought he'd had surgery to swap his feet back around.

Maybe it's a Farm animal they are talking about and he is taking time off to care for it.........

If you're talking about the Blackburn game, then you're wrong. It wasn't going in before Earnie touched it, despite what the commentators said. I had a very good view from where I was sat.
