There is no way that Gunter or Turner will be dropped they have just been brought in. Anderson and Blackstock will play for sure.

Lynch is the only realistic choice at left back so by a proces of elimination it has to be Osbourne and Sheff. Osbourne may not even be fit and Sheff is just not at the races at the moment.

McSheffrey is the obvious one, and from there, I doubt we'll see Gunter and Lynch in the same matchday squad again. Lynch, despite his recent good form, may be the man to miss out.

Needless to say though, we will pick up injuries, so having options will be a good thing.

Lynch, McSheffrey might fall short.
It's nice to have so many options available.

I came to much the same conclusion especially as Cohen, Tyson, Moussi and Perch would provide adequate alternatives for these two.

Well with Bennett out injured it would be obvious for Lynch to play. But I agree with Brolin with Gunter, I expect Lynch to miss out despite his imporveing form.
Turner would seem to be the number one for the remaining games therefore he stays in the squad.
Anderson has played well all season and I fully expect him to be on the starting line up for the rest of the season.
With Osbournes Injury I expect him to miss out obviously, but with Cohen, McGugan, Moussi and Thornhill we have more than enough players to fill this position.
Blackstock is a must and could score some key goals in keeping us up, along with McSheffrey.

Therefore I personally would drop Isaah Osbourne and Joel Lynch.

However you would expect Davies to play the men he has brought in resulting in Lynch and Anderson missing out, I hope I'm wrong! Well Joel he can f*ck off but lets hope Anderson plays!

McSheffrey has failed to look interested to me since his arrival, It seems he is here for match practise and fitness. Problems with an injured player returning to fitness, then going out on loan.

the two that are dropped will be the ones who Billy thinks won't have a particular amount of impact for a certain game. Competition for places is great and we finally have it.

Even though Billy didn't sign Ando or Lynch, I imagine they will both start.

I expect we will sign 4 of these loanees over the summer as well.

I think it'll vary from game to game and obviously depends on injuries.

I'd say if I had to pick the two we least need it'd be McSheffery and Turner.

Would have thought Lynch and mcsheffery would miss out v Barnsley

team someting like this

Turner
Perch Morgan Wilson/Breckin Gunter

Anderson Osbourne Moussi Cohen

Blackstock Earnshaw

Then again Mcsheffery may be flying by that time and all change again....what do i know!! jus good to have options at long last
subs - Smith, Chambers, Mcgugan, Tyson, Wilson/Breckin

Les votes for Turner than Lynch and we don't have anyone with a left boot, Smith you are the weakest link.

Don't think we'll drop McSheffrey. We've got too many central midfielders fit to make Osbourne a necessity.

Anderson and McSheffery for me. Both unfit most of the time here and neither overly effective on the pitch.

Although, I don't know why but our form has seemed to drop when Ando is out the side. Which is strange because I think players like McCleary offer a whole lot more on the wing.

Since Billy Davies has signed Turner, McSheffrey, Osbourne and Gunter the side has lost much of it's shape, balance, cohesion and impetus. Simply it takes time for the new players to settle and adopt the playing style and tactics wanted by the manager. Unfortunately the implications through the sweeping changes is the current players, particularly Cohen and Anderson are struggling to find their previous good form, as a result performances are deteriorating. Further concern is with the insistence for the manager to automatically play the loan players, longer serving first team members - McCleary, Tyson, Maloney, Thornhill and even McGugan are being relegated to either the substitution bench or a squad place. As a consequence competition for first team places is suffering, and their progression is being stifled.

In truth this situation is reminiscent of the tenure under Ron Atkinson who bought in a number of loan deals to try and secure Nottingham Forest place in the Premiership. As history demonstrated results didn't improve, and those players left at the end of the season. Consequently when he departed, the new manager - David Platt was left with a severely depleted squad of relatively inexperience and young players.

We've been watching teams then! In my opinion, Anderson has been one of the main differences between us failing and succeeding. He's lively, pacy, hard working and really stretches the opposition. His end product isnt finished yet, but he's still young. I think hes fantastic.

Anderson?

Mouldy, I actually think you're a bit of a mentalist sometimes.

He is, apart from Wes, one player that Billy Davies ALWAYS praises and he's talked about him being fully fit after the international break too.

I'd imagine it'll be Lynch and McSheffrey or Osbourne and McSheffrey depending on who we're playing.

If all goes well and the injured players are back for Barnsley, I reckon this'll be the side:

Turner
Perch/Chambers Morgan Wilson Gunter
Anderson McGugan Moussi Cohen
Blackstock Earnshaw

Subs: Smith, Chambers/Perch, Osbourne, Tyson, Garner

Pretty much agree with all of that.

Of all the loanees Anderson would be my first choice to play every week.

Why the hell has Lynch got so many votes against him?

He's been brilliant of late. Gunter whilst he can play either side is naturally a right back and if you move him to left back anyway who dop you think will come in? Perch? No, if he was played Centre back against Burnley whilst we had a centre back playing right back then obviously Billy doesn't see him playing right back at all. It'll be Chamber back in the team and as much as I like the guy, he can be a liability at times.

The only other alternative I can see is Wilson at left back where he can't play or Cohen back there where he will be wasted when we need him in the middle for the run in.

Gunter, Turner and Osbourne strike me as being the ones where we have adequate cover in our current playing staff.

Though, given there late arrivals, theres no way Gunter and Turner will be dropped.

On a side note, if we stay up and managed to sign (unlikely I know) all of these guys, I'd be f***ing delighted.

Hmm, Billy Davies said he was forced to sign Gunter due to the amount of defensive injuries we had. Which we do not have anymore, I dont know why, I just got the idea that the Gunter signing less want than neccessity at the time.

If he drops Gunter and puts Chambers back in then he needs shooting!
