A Carlton lad I believe
I'll delete it thenI'm not sure that T-shirt really works.
He also lived in Brinsley for a while. He looks like he could have been an extra in Hot Shots (for anyone old enough to remember the films)
I always thought he was from Chilwell but just seen he lived and went school there but was actually from Carlton like you said.
Edit: On the topic of the Beckinsales his wife Judy passed away last week after illness.
This tension makes me moist in the loinsI'll delete it then
Palace fans will be all over this, should they get to hear about it. The conspiracy theories will be off the chart!Word on the grapevine is the Marinakis is jumping into bed with Textor to buy Botafogo out of Eagle Football Holdings.
It's quite complex but there's significant amounts of money owed by EFH to Botafogo and even more hugely significant amounts owed by Lyon through EFH to Botafogo. Some of it has been ordered by the courts to be repaid.
It looks like between Marinakis and Textor they are removing the most financially viable club of EFH to run separately. Textor brings the viable asset and Marinakis brings the successful experience and proper group structure.
We all knew there was some other arrangement going on behind the business with them both. This could be the one that really benefits Forest as Marinakis will push hard for them to become the desirable club to go to in Brazil and we'll get the stars from that.
He was indeed.A Carlton lad I believe

In seriousness it doesn’t sound believable to me. EM might be buying Botafogo separately but there is no way he is jumping into an MCO with Textor.Word on the grapevine is the Marinakis is jumping into bed with Textor to buy Botafogo out of Eagle Football Holdings.

I agree but we know what Marinakis is like. It wouldn't surprise me if he's using Textor to get his hands on it initially before eventually ousting him further down the line.In seriousness it doesn’t sound believable to me. He is his own man with enough money & contacts to do it by himself, he won’t tolerate a clown like Textor running around with a big gob wasting his money. We are also not a typical MCO, yes we are owned by the same guy but they are completely different entities unlike almost all other MCOs who remain under the same holding company. His clubs run pretty independently which is probably why it’s the only MCO in the world where one of the clubs doesn’t feel short changed.
I think someone is just trying to put 2 & 2 together.
Sounds like more effort than it is worth to me. Textor loves the glory of football & doesn't have the money to fuel his hobby. There is no way EM is going to let him roam free with something he owns, especially with how much he has ripped him off in the past.I agree but we know what Marinakis is like. I still wouldn't put it past him. Marinakis clearly knows how to play Textor and use his naivety and ego against him.Sounds like more effort than it is worth to me. Fake news according to Rob Dorsett on twitter. In seriousness it doesn’t sound believable to me. EM might be buying Botafogo separately but there is no way he is jumping into an MCO with Textor.

Wonder why anyone wouldnt want to have it out there with the CAS appeal upcoming...Fake news according to Rob Dorsett on twitter.
It was pretty obviously the case, never made any sense. There is no way EM would go into a MCO with Textor.Fake news according to Rob Dorsett on twitter.

You sound like someone else we know...If you overlook all the transfers between us and the fact we share scouting/data teams and that we often go to Greece pre-season to use their facilities then yes absolutely we are run independently.
I think it's a little more nuanced than that - Textor reckons Botafogo makes plenty cash, since the financial setup over there makes it much more easy to do so. Marinakis wants a link between Brazil and his clubs, in order to snaffle the promising youth talent and provide a clear pathway. It was pretty obviously the case, never made any sense. There is no way EM would go into a MCO with Textor.
It's a very well-known photo; it is indeed EM, with Takis Lemonis, a legendary player and later manager of ours. It's taken in the old stadium, in 1979.This photo made the rounds on here a good few years ago, can't remember how it was confirmed to be him but I remember it coming from a legitimate source, maybe even from EM himself.
The clubs are completely financially independent of each other. If one goes bust it doesn't affect the other, that was my point. Hardly any other MCO's are structured like that. I am not claiming there is no links between the clubs. If you overlook all the transfers between us and the fact we share scouting/data teams and that we often go to Greece pre-season to use their facilities then yes absolutely we are run independently.
