We have to win on Thursday first - think I’ll just focus my anxiety on that! But we were in a blind trust? They would not have kicked us out, even if we missed the deadline by a few weeks. Palace refused to do it even when they knew about it, if they just admitted they missed the deadline and did it as soon as possible, I guarentee you they would have been admitted - especially if it went to CAS.
As I stated anyway, I cannot stomach another summer of this so I won't engage on this further. The club would not have cocked this up, worrying about this is a waste of your time & energy, nor is it even a worry for us as we would take priority over Oly (who don't look like qualifying).
Yes: doesn't matter if are in trust or not anyway, Oly are down in 3rd, and 6 points off top with 3 games to go!
There was a video of it, defo not fake CapVery blurred... faked?
I can't see the Big Man having to walk to the ground from the local 'Spoons after a few bevvies.
2nd place goes into the 2nd of 3 qualifying rounds, so would have to get through 2 qualifying rounds to make Champions League. They will normally have to get past teams like Porto, Fenerbache or Monaco to qualify for ther proper.Top 2 make CL in Greece and they are third due to -1 GD compared to Paok.
They could still easily make it there.
Always had his knockers.
That and a little bit of fortune with injuries and you’re right.Promotion in the 5th year after taking over.
Since then semi finals of every cup competition we've entered and a 7th place finish.
We are nearly there, just need some stability and build organically. Need that stadium expansion as well.
Exactly that. That and a little bit of fortune with injuries and you’re right.
You can question how we get there but I don't think you can ever question the end result under EM.Exactly that.
We have had a small taste of success now and we are thirsty for more.
But big picture to have been to 3 semi-finals, 1 of them being a European one & only just dramatically missing out on a Champions League spot in our first 4 seasons back, is superb going.
You can question how we get there but I don't think you can ever question the end result under EM.
Demanding though the bloke undoubtedly is, my hope/expectation is that this season will have presented a significant learning curve for EM.Outcome bias isn't a good thing. We should always be looking to see what worked well, what didn't, what would we have changed etc with hindsight in order to use that information going forward. Clearly that was lacking in summer 2025 and has resulted in us regressing this season.
And your conclusion is.....?How anyone can give him any credit for this season is absolutely baffling. Some horrific decisions which have ruined our season - and you have to pay about 20% extra to watch it
What conclusion do I need to draw? And your conclusion is.....?
None. It was the wrong response to your comment. It was a poor attempt at trying to imply that the bloke still has plenty in the bank regarding his decision-making here. What conclusion do I need to draw?
I dont disagree. Just said he had made bad decisions this season. Which is pretty non-negotiable.None. It was the wrong response to your comment. It was a poor attempt at trying to imply that the bloke still has plenty in the bank regarding his decision-making here.
It is, but I still like the fact that he takes risks and acts on instincts at times. He's impatient for success, an emotion that this club hasn't enjoyed since the great man.I dont disagree. Just said he had made bad decisions this season. Which is pretty non-negotiable.
I see what your saying mate but decision-wise we're talking managers, in which case:How anyone can give him any credit for this season is absolutely baffling. Some horrific decisions which have ruined our season - and you have to pay about 20% extra to watch it
Yeah fair but he will have signed off on all the recruitment too. Which you could go through and put a positive spin on but it wouldnt be entirely honest. Plus the ticket prices.I see what your saying mate but decision-wise we're talking managers, in which case:
Manager 1: Nuno. Clearly wanted out yet was happy to sign a new contract a few months beforehand. f**ked off to West Ham and never looked back. Got himself the sack. No owner is going to let a manager call them out in the way Nuno did. And he knew it too. Nuno basically resigned.
Manager 2: Ange Postecoglu. An absolute car crash appointment and Evangelos Marinakis' worst managerial appointment to date. I have absolutely no idea why he thought he would succeed at Forest. I think he thought "that guy won the Europa League, so let's get him in " That's the only thought process I can imagine
Manager 3: Sean Dyche. A rather desperate attempt to appoint a man that could do something Ange couldn't do which was to unite the fans. Which Sean did for a bit, it's just a shame his tactis derive from somewhere in 1985 and the players saw completely through him
Manager 4: Vitor Pereira. A man that knows how to set up a side and has seen us all but safe barring three snookers on the black
tl;dr He gets things wrong, for sure, but he tends to put them right with positive effect
