Think he's on gardening leave, he's still employed but not been seen or heard around the club for several weeks now.

Picked the right time for it with the rain finally pissing off.

When he finishes his, he can come help me with my garden as I hate doing it and need to sort it out.

look i hope I’m wrong and actually I hope we don’t get to a point where any of us are right or wrong as we have stayed up but there’s a strong whiff of ‘too good to go down’ here and that teams will be fighting over players who got us relegated when it’s not happened to any of the other teams to go down. I don’t think we are that exceptional

If relegated, I hope EM has learned from the current Chelsea scandal and finds 'a way' to remunerate the players enough for them to stick around. The £10m fine we can expect is just the cost of doing business.

It's not about "too good to go down" most of us are saying the exact opposite in talking about player sales.

The fact is that some of those players as individuals are far better than almost any individual player that's been relegated before. Williams and Aina have been two of the best full backs in the PL. Anderson is a young England international that could be instrumental in the WC. Sels was a golden glove winner last season. Murillo is one of the most exciting young ball playing CBs on the planet, Milenkovic is solid and reliable. MGW does what no other No10 in world football does.

What's absolutely killed us not having a striker that can actually score goals. Those players will be in demand, relegation or not.

Agreed - we will be pillaged like no other relegated team has been before when we go down.

I think we’ll be pillaged even if we stay up. EM has created a negative reputational view on the club that needs to be rebuilt.
I kind of think along these lines, in the last few years one of the best things we had going for us was players were buying into the positivity around the club when signing for us, and that we were a club looking to push on and compete. All that has gone now so might be more difficult to attract some targets without having to overpay.

Yep, murillo, MGW, Anderson are gone in the summer up or down. Go down, add neco, ndoye, sangare, possibly CHO to that list, jesus probably has offers from europe and would go.

Even wolves would be in a better position then us if we went down. We would potentially on the look out for a new manager and secondly on the look out for a new squad.

Money talks people will still buy into that especially if we stay up and get a quality manager.

The thing marinakis has going for him is that he doesn't take money out of the club. What we make in revenue is re invested into the club

That's the minimum figure I came to. Even if I reduce the maximum figure that I think we can achieve for each player we could be looking at

Sels £20M
Aina £20M
Milenkovic £20M
Murillo £50M
Williams £25M
Sangare £40M
Anderson £80M
Hudson-Odoi £30M

That's £285M and some of those are definitely conservative estimates.

I don't think we'd get anywhere near that for either
Sels or CHO, but the others wouldn't be far off.

Hudson-Odoi is the one I've been a little bit ambitious on but the reasoning I went for that is because of the apparent high sell on clause to Chelsea so we might ask for more, whether we get that is a different story. Sels I could see the £20M as he's a solid keeper and that seems to be around the going rate for a PL keeper.

The problem with Sels is that he's 34 and hasn't been very good this season. He's not the same keeper he was last year and he's not far off retiring.

Any club that buys him is more of a panic stop gap than anything else but GK is a position that is more easily filled than others. He's the sort of keeper than would go for £7m or so to Man It's to be their no.3 for two years.

Christ is he really 34? That does change things then. I thought he was 31/32

No chance. EM won't allow it. Negative reputation or whatever.
I think the narrative ‘EM won’t allow it’ is done now. This season has been absolute disfunction at its best, or worst depending on how you read it.

International level players won’t want another season of utter shit with multiple managers. Careers at risk here.

Only thing to prevent a massive cull would be a top class manager being appointed who would instantly command complete respect from the dressing room. That’s about the only thing I could see preventing Summer carnage….

Milenkovic £20M
I'm not sure when his contract currently ends but I'd at least double what you've got for Milenkovic. Serbia captain, one of the top stoppers in the league last season. Even transfer market has him at 25 million.

I wouldn't bother.

You want some nice roses to develop and give your garden colour and the sweet smell of success but all he'll do is spend all your budget at the garden centre on a load of pansies.

He’d buy the most expensive Koy Carp from Bardills and claim they’re from the imperial gardens of Japan.
