I've no doubt if that's the case the club are planning to bring another CM in

Tbf under ange he did have a couple of good games but was injured for most of it. Ange was suited to getting the best out of him. Waste of time sticking him in a dyche team, best outcome for us and the Luiz.Wanted by Chelsea and Villa. Teams pushing for the top 4.
But can't get in our side.
This will probably do wonders for his neck tbf, not having to watch all those long balls punted over his head.
We can't.Lets enquire with villa and liverpool about Harvey elliott
This doesn't make sense, you are basically saying that it is EM's fault that he told Edu to buy players that everyone else wants - surely that's a good thing?
I hold Edu almost entirely accountable for this transfer though, Luiz agent and him are so closely connected and the deal simply would not have been on the table if those parties weren't besties. Bigger picture maybe its worth a conversation as to how Marinakis has given such a big role and responsibility to Edu but its unfortunately a transfer that has Joorabchian and Edus sticky little fingers all over it.
We could, he just couldn’t play for us till next seasonWe can't.
True. That would be the most Forest thing to do (followed by selling him next January as he couldn't get fit having not played for months)We could, he just couldn’t play for us till next season
And therein lies the benefit of Villa taking him with an option to buy rather than an obligation. They've got the opportunity to play him into fitness rather than looking over their shoulders as to whether they trigger a purchase. But you know that if and when he plays for Villa he'll be back to his best. It's just a Forest thing
Were we ever likely to get close? 15 45+ minute appearances? How many times did he manage it?And therein lies the benefit of Villa taking him with an option to buy rather than an obligation. We could never do that because of the uncertainty over his injury and not wanting to trigger the clause. A deal structured in such a way and knowing the circumstances which was just ridiculous and benefitted absolutely nobody.
As I said before, I hope we have learned from it.
I believe he did 11 or 12. No doubt he could had had a couple more, had we chosen to sail closer to the wind with that purchase obligation clause. Anyway….here endeth a rather disappointing chapter. Were we ever likely to get close? 15 45+ minute appearances? How many times did he manage it?
Shame, cos there's a player there, big time. And now Yates and Sangaré are back you could have managed his game time. Perhaps Luiz himself no longer wanted to be here?
