I was surprised he stayed on as long as he did. I fully expected Yates or Sangare to come on as soon as the 2nd was scored.I agree Eddie. The strength and skill he showed when he went past three Porto players in the 2nd-half was sublime. I'm not sure if he's up to three games in a week at the moment, and so I wouldn't be surprised if he starts on the bench on Sunday?
Believe it's a conditional obligation, based on number of games played.Have we got an obligation to buy him regardless?
Me too. Maybe as he’s not had much pre season and has had 45 mins here and there they wanted to get a good 80/85 in him to help get him up to speed. Be interesting to see what he does with him on Sunday.I was surprised he stayed on as long as he did. I fully expected Yates or Sangare to come on as soon as the 2nd was scored.
In fact from around 65 minutes I thought a few looked knackered and was surprised we never made changes. I suppose the game was too close at that point to risk altering it though.
He must be getting close to triggering it.Believe it's a conditional obligation, based on number of games played.
I read it was 14 games/appearances. Not sure if there are any more caveats attached to that e.g. 45 minutes doesn't count, Carabao doesn't count etc. Anyway it's been 5 so far.He must be getting close to triggering it.
he wasn't injury prone till last season.I can see why we wanted him, even with the miserable injury record in Italy.
The medical team are playing a blinder at the moment getting and keeping him fit. I suppose his season will have to be carefully managed, but it will be worth it.
Don't understand. He joined Juve in june 2024 and his season was injury blighted. That's what I said and June 2024 to aug 2025 was last season. What's your point?he wasn't injury prone till last season.
And it wasn't really serious injury, he had a lot of small niggles that never allowed him to get going.he wasn't injury prone till last season.
