Doughty donates 1 million to a hospital

Re: Doubty donates 1 million to a hospital

That's a pretty good gesture that!

Re: Doubty donates 1 million to a hospital

good old nigel not forgetting his roots!

Re: Doubty donates 1 million to a hospital

excellent work nigel :)

That's where the Nottingham Forest transfer kitty has gone to. lol He should have signed Jonathan Woodgate, it would have gone to the same cause and pleased the fans at the same time!! He needs a new PR man. ;)

It's not where the kitty has gone to - we've still got it! We've got to keep within touch until we spend it. Can't help thinking there are serious politics going on at the club. It almost looked as if MA deliberately put the boot in over the two main transfers we were/are after. The fact he's still at the club suggests that ND was quite happy to go along with it/or even organise it. I've got a feeling that we may not even get any more loanees .....

On topic though - very generous of him and I'm sure a few more clubs wished they had a chairman like ours.

Good for him.

I have it on good authority that this is in exchange for a cloth, some chloroform and Michael Dawson.

So let me get this right, ND's mum was named Daffodil?
Daffy for short, so when speaking to his wife, Mr Doughty Snr must have called her Daffy Duck, put the kettle on.

Well done Mr. Doughty.

Any chance of donating £1m to the Forest-Fans'-Mental-Health-Welfare-Fund, more commonly known as the transfer kitty, please?

Didn't Polly put the kettle on? Also, did you care that "Newark Advertiser" is an anagram of "Dearer w**k Rivets".

The amount of conspiracy shit Nigel Doughty gets from so called Forest fans makes you despair sometimes.

He's given it to Rampton,so our transfer acquisition committee should benefit.

Don't use it for kerb Crawling Pleat.

Our Chairman's mother, was a nurse at the (original) Newark Hospital (which has of course now closed).

He has dedicated this money, in memory of his mum, to a new unit at the "new" Newark Hospital.

Whatever you think of our Chairman, this is a fantastic gesture, and regardless of the amount involved, it shows perhaps something of the character of the man.

I know he does come in for some stick on this (and other) forums, but with a gesture like this, you cannot fault the guy really.

Good one ND

This donation, like the labour ones (but especially this one), should be kept apart from the club and transfer saga, I doubt whether he had made these donations or not, much would have been affected at the club, I'd imagine he has already set aside all the money he wanted to invest in forest, large or small, whether it gets spent or not is irrelevant in this thread at least, and sorry but it is his money!

This is a fantastic bit of generosity.
