Doughty, Arthur and Pleat: Let's hope you've learnt your lessons...

A great evening tonight, great reward for Billy and the lads in the past few weeks for their efforts, we've deserved to stay up but just how much of this can be credited to messers Doughty, Arthur and Pleat?

Bar putting in the ££ in the summer to get Earnshaw and Anderson it has been another disasterous year with board decisions(even Calderwood sacking was six weeks too late) and especially in January, completely avoidable for us to still be in a dogfight in the last week of the season. The inactivity in the window was a disgrace and almost saw us go down again. How after so many warnings from last year?!

The sh*t will hit the fan with Billy and the changes he wants in the next couple of months- please let him get on with it and not meddle-you have proven in the past when you have it does NOT work. He may not get everything exactly right but learn your lessons and let him carry on the good work. Pleeeeeeese!!

Welcome WorcsRed and DezzieD.

At the moment, I simply don't care how we did it and, I suspect, neither will many others.

The time will come for evaluating and reviewing and analysing the season. For now.................just enjoy!

No, no, no!

Rubbish thread. Calderwood built the original team, it was poor and he was sacked. Davies was backed, improved the team, and kept us up.

Can't wait for this summer when the only signing will be Lynch on a permanent deal and Davies coming out to say that he's happy with what he got and that the club won't be taken for ransom over players.

The irony of this is that although there was the usual f***-up in January and the late sacking of CC etc etc, the club will see staying up in the Championship as a success for this season.

I can just see MArthur giving himself a big slap on the back, congratulating himself on how well this has all worked and saying "same again next season".

He may have a point as he has probably saved the club a fortune - CC must have been cheaper to employ than BD, none of those pesky transfer fees to pay in January, those loanees won't need to be paid over the summer etc.
