I think he could do a good job for us, versatile defender/midfielder, bags of experience, couple of years left in him maybe?

Possibly a bit injury prone though.

Seriously, we should stop looking at 34+ year-old players, and invest in some more players like Cohen and Wilson - potential and not too expensive! Once a player is past 32ish, they are only going to get worse, and more importantly, slower. We need players who can improve with the club, not pass us going in the opposite direction.

First rule in football:

NEVER, EVER pay money for a 30-year-old-plus player unless he is out of the top drawer, and then give him a ONE YEAR contract only.

How many over 30's players have we signed who have been complete shite in the past 5 years?

The list is too numerous to go into detail, but I'll start with Eaden, Holt, Lockwood etc.

But unfair to label Lockwood in that vain as well seeing as we very rarely saw him on the pitch but I see what your getting at and no a hole in Calderwood's head would be a better signing than Domonic Matteo

He's been released, so we wouldn;t be paying money for him.

Lockwood was harsh - he's hardly played for us. Eaden was shit. Holt was good in his first season.

Although I'm not sure about Matteo. We do need a bit of experience though.
