Imagine if Billy does better than BC (being silly, I know), then later down the line we take a manager with the initials BE from them :D

It is enjoyable watching them realise that they have got rid of a very good manager and beginning to fear that a spell of Forest dominance over them is returning with King Billy sticking 2 fingers to the lot of them.(He hates Derby)

Why do they think they talk like the 'worst team in history' was all Billy's doing... did Paul Jewell not do an even worser job? I know Billy got 6 points, didn't Jewell get 5? Jewell was just a yes man who never put any confidence into his players, they would have had a chance with Billy.

He's a vile character who's probably doing no better, or worse, at Forest than what any other average manager would do with the resources he has available.

Bitter, very bitter.

as far as I'm concerned that's exactly what happened - BD is a twit of the highest order. notts will find out sooner or later. In fact my mates who support that rabble are happy with their progress but just can't warm to him and are quite jealous we have NC.
Just shows you can't please everyone or at times anyone.

I honestly think they are coming round to the fact that they should have kept BD longer, and that he could come back to haunt them.

What makes me laugh are the ones that say things like I don't care how well he's doing at Forest I'm glad we got rid of him he would have ruined us and he's an evil dwarf etc.

As if they care about the morales of anyone who plays/manages the club. They have Savage FFS ain't he the guy that nearly every Derby fan wanted to tear a new A-hole a few years ago after he dived in that game between Direby and Fester.

Some of their fans are more honest though but the others are very bitter.

Oh one last thing.
BILLY DAVIES IS A RED HE HATES DERBY.

I couldn't get past Billy Elliott, so I'm glad you've come up with a viable alternative.

Billy didn't WANT to be at Derby anymore. They new board who came in had some backbone and told him to make do with the assets he had. He didn't like being on a leash, so spat his dummy out on public radio. That's how I viewed the situation anyway.

Will it happen at Forest? I certainly hope so, but as time goes by, I begin to wonder at exactly what time Billy lost interest in his job at Derby. I initially beleived it was just before the Chelsea match, but as his little rants to the media became public, I find it pretty blatant that judging from the whole "I wish it was Preston" thing that his heart wasn't in it for a while before promotion.

I'd warn Forest fans that Billy will ruin their club, but they wouldn't listen. So I'm just sitting back, waiting for the inevitable implosion as Billy realizes that the job is once again above him (no pun intended to his dwarf stature). Let them have their run of form, it's the first time they've done this well in years. I would bet that in 3 years, roles will be reversed again.

As a final note, I regard Billy as a top championship manager who has in insane ability to transform a poor club into one that can make a proper gun for promotion. When he had the gall to compare himself to Brian Clough though, I completely lost all respect that was left for him (which, after his self-engineered exit and his Preston comments was VERY little anyway).

If/when Forest get promoted, let's not be jealous. Instead lets prophecize when the sh*t hits the fan. Will it be before or after Christmas? Time will tell....

This sheep almost raises an interesting Clough comparison... When Brian was at Leeds, he really wanted to be at Derby still. While his form there is incomparable to Davies' at Derby, it is fair to say both managers went to a club that they loved less than the one they left and ultimately it worked out well for them, though they left under a cloud. Both managers then turned up at floundering Forest and asserted a winning iron grip on proceedings.

There's a ton of things Billy does differently to Brian Clough, many indeed he does better (and vice-versa) but there are many also the pair do similarly. Inevitable I suppose when they are the only two truly incendiary managers besides Clarke's golden team that most on here can remember, but fun to draw the comparisons nonetheless. Might as well sing while we're winning, eh?

Thank you, I thoroughly enjoyed reading their forum. It's moments like this which make you realise all the pain and effort of being a Forest fan is worth it.
