Does anyone remember sheep shagging Derby County? (STILL the worst team in history!)

Welcome to Derby

[Tweet]https://twitter.com/samnaylor92/status/1533496465460498433?[/tweet]

In fairness to Derby fans, they've been strung along by this prat for so long now that I find it hard to blame them for tweets like that. Kirchner should know full well that no one gives a shit about his views on hockey or tennis, and that the vast majority of people following his twitter account and interacting with him are Derby fans desperate for news. Tweeting about anything else at the moment only serves to antagonise those Derby fans.

I read somewhere this morning that Ashley wanted to come in with CK as a partner, but CK refused.

That wouldn't surprise me really, that way, when CK crashes and burns, Ashley comes in, clears up the wreckage, and goes 'told you so'...

Why would he tweet about Tennis.

He and everyone else knows nobody cares about his thoughts on tennis when he said from his own mouth he would own the club a month ago, and would definitely own the club 5 days ago.

Tells you the size of the guys ego. He will tweet about golf about 10 mins after they lose to Accrington or somebody this season, absolutely guaranteed.

Assuming his takeover actually happens, of course.

If it doesn't happen this week, it won't happen at all IMO. Shame, as him running Derby in their current state would be an endless source of comedy.

For those of us who have been distracted by our own business over the last week, can anyone give a summary of what's happening?

Has the yank bought them yet? Are HMRC paid off? Will they still get another deduction next year?

No
No
Hopefully

Be warned: there may be another, still living John Lennon, and he is quite probably preparing a multi million libel claim against you...

I’ll be fine

My accusation is in the past tense will easily stand up in court.

If I need a few character whitenesses you lot will back me up.

It would appear that the forum server got carried away with the jubilee celebrations and crapped out some of the database.

The old Demise thread (which was itself part 2) is but a fading memory.

A bit like Derby County themselves.

Just in case anyone missed the unveiling of their new shirt…

There's a Bank Holiday in Ireland and Western Australia today. ;)

Today is also a public holiday in Germany, so if Derby are hoping for an 11th-hour rescue from Hans von Dunkelroter, forget it.

Or in Crewton’s case deadlines don’t exist, so they can just keep existing forever whilst being in administration.

It’s not gone very well this administration has it?

I think they should just call it off….

Have they reached that cap yet? Quantuma might be a bit more pro-active once the gravy train looks like its coming to an end.

I didn't think there was a cap, just a maximum time the club can spend in admin.

I think there is a cap? Not sure what it is though.

I believe a company can’t remain in Admin for more that 12 months - but I think this can be extended by up to a further 6 months to allow a sale to go through.

Seeing as it’s now the 6th June 2022 and they entered admin on 22 September 2021 which was 257 days ago now. And what have the admins achieved in that time?

I can’t see them starting next season as the EFL will want some assurance soon that they can not only start next season but finish it.

It can’t be long until the 14 day notification goes in that their Membership (golden share) of the league is being removed. They can’t just continue on in administration forever.

The official football ruling is no longer than 18 months I believe, but the real deadline will be whenever they have to prove funds for the season. I think that was supposed to be May 30, so make of that what you will. If news doesn't come out these next few days then they can assume the worst has happened.
