Does anyone actually like Fraser Nicholson on Forest World?

The guy really grates with me - his voice and questioning style

I know from experience that he's a good guy, and your feelings on his voice shouldn't affect your view of him as a chap. He's been very helpful and friendly on many occasions.

Given the quality of football media's top presenters recently, Fraser is fine. We are never going to get Des Lynam. It's Forest World after all, as opposed to something good.

I actually quite like his style of questioning, and the matchday highlight packages I suspect he has a hand in making and then voicing over.

i don't KNOW him. i dont have any view on him as a person, merely his way of interviewing, and his voice which i find a bit annoying. Anyway just getting views, thanks.

Ok, If you want views then you should accept mine. I just think it's a little harsh to publicly criticise someone on a message board for something as pathetic as the sound of his voice.

He does a decent enough job I guess...never really been bothered to form an opinion on him. That said I once sat near him during a pre season friendly against Leeds and felt weirdly star struck.

Don't know why, I guess I'm insane or something.

My view is it is a bit out of order to call a guy's topic choice or style pathetic when he is just asking a question. He stated it is his interviewing style and his voice that irritates not just his voice. Agreed if it had just been voice then he might have deserved chiding but he did not. Seems unfair and uneccesary to me.

Over the years plenty of commentators and pundits have attracted attention because of their style and voice, Murray Walker, Motson, Hill, Hamilton etc etc . There was no malice in the question and his opinion is as valid as ours.

Fine. I'm not making an issue out of it. I don't really see why you have to leap to his defence, its not like we're arguing or anything. It's my view that it's a little harsh to criticise someone for what, as i said, is in my opinion a pathetic issue. I never suggested there was any malice in the topic. There's nothing wrong with a difference of opinion.

Fine. Then why call the issue pathetic, just discuss it. After all this is a public figure being discussed on a public forum. I am not leaping to his defence just stating an opinion which I thought was allowed? You said it was pathetic and I said it was out of order to brand it pathetic. Job done.

Actually, he's my boyfriend and flatmate and I love him.
I'm just hoping he'll do the civil ceremony thing.

He seems a nice guy and has a good rapport with the players. You can usually get a better interview if they know and trust you. I like the guy

I think he's a nice fellow, but perhaps doesn't excel at elements of his job (ie, the presenting bits).
