do we actually have alot of fans?

22,795 on saturday and 3140 were albion fans.

dont wana sound like glen but are our fans tripe OR do we just not have many supporters left?

18169 home fans at the first home game against bournemouth last time out in league one.

19655 home fans at the first home game this season.

only an increase of 1486.......

Must admit I was disappointed.

It's true it's holiday season still but that's not sufficient to cater for the low numbers.

That said, I would rather have fewer fans backing the team than a stadium full of moaning buggers.

Or full of Forest fans than students etc (no offence intended) who were given the tickets for free with every pint they buy !

of course people live all over the country etc who cant make the games, just wondering about the people in and around the nottinghamshire area......i mean to be honest i dont see many kids wearing forest shirts.

i was shocked how empty the brian clough stand was.....i was really expecting around 28k.

all kids near me wear Man Utd, Chelsea, liverpool and Arsenal kits, but very few Forest
we will just have to start reproducing ourselves at a greater rate if you want to fill the ground!

Anyone want to design a 'have a baby for the fuhrer' poster with Billy's face on it to put up around the ground?

My cousins (despite my uncle being a die hard Forest fan) are Man Utd and Liverpool fans. I asked my uncle why and apparently, if they don't support a top 4 side they border on getting bullied. Sad state of affairs tbh !

We are in the midsts of a credit crunch and all feeling the pinch, I know I certainly am. However like everything money has a way of showing itself and I believe from September on a personal point I will be attending more games. Albeit one dayers initially but certainly far more frequently than I have been since Isobel was born. May even bring Isobel to a game :)

That said, I think with the economic struggle, this is path of the course and maybe people are picking and choosing their games.

I blame Sven - even Mrs Wotton is wearing a county shirt these days

I'm surprised noone's blamed Paul Smith yet. ::)

To provide a bit of context, Newcastle got a little under 37k for their game against Reading on Sunday. That is about 18k under capacity and a lot of empty seats.

So it's not just us.

I also think a few of the "floating locals" are going to watch Notts. To be honest, you don't really want supporters who fit into that category anyway.

Anyway, as soon a my piggy flu clears up, I will be there again!

I myself find it very hard to get to every game, due to financial and travel issues.

Last season I think we had averaged the 5th highest home attendances in the Championship.

Couple that with us never having played in the Premiership this millenium, £30 tickets, a poor season and the biggest c*nts known to man throwing fans out whenever they can.

I think our fans are very good considering.

that's the problem, it's the women of Nottinghamshire. they just don't produce the quality of children with the mental ability to see who they should support. Anyone want to set up a camp where young women can be impregnated by young and healthy forest suppporting males?

Is it really that bad though? 19000 in a city of 288.000, which has two teams, still holiday season (or at least lots of people still haven't got their first paycheck since the holidays), in times of bad economy, in times of little success on the pitch...
Results is the only way to get the more fickle fans to buy tickets for the games, so now when we have got WBA out of the way, and we start banging in a few goals, I think more people will start showing their face at the City Ground.

I had been a season ticket holder since the 2003/04 season. The only reason me and the missus didn't renew is due to the fact that we couldn't afford to do it.

I would of loved to have renewed and will really miss going down to the CG every other Saturday.

That's the only reason - Finances.

We haven't been in the premier league for 10 years, haven't won a trophy for almost 20 years. Its no real surprise that most kids pick one of the "big 4".

Its pathetic in schools and colleges, you speak to people and its like they dont originate or have no link to manc or liverpool what so ever....

I give the derby fans more respect than them as at least their following a local team as such.

If I was a kid I wouldn't want the latest home kit!

I bought it for my 9 year old on Saturday and he loves it.

Personally I think it's horrible, but he loves it.

£30 a ticket probably has a lot to do with it.

that definitely did tbh i think there should of been a offer on for the 1st game with people being away etc, it just would of felt good to start the season with a big crowd,

sadly i have to say i definitely know more derby fans than forest (i grew up in mansfield and have lived in sheffield for 2 years now) since going to sheff i have met people from nottinghampshire and derbyshire sadly most from notts don't seem to follow forest but a top 4 side and pretty much all from derby seem to follow derby and have season tickets. the school i went to in mansfield must have been majority liverpool fans i also have to say fair play to norwich fans if what i heard is true: 19000 ST holders in league 1
