There's a lot of similarities between Spence and Aina.

I was gutted we couldn't keep hold of him. He clearly loved his time here too.

Unsurprising that it took him time to find his feet at Spurs when they were such a circus themselves. He was always destined to get into the England squad if he could get a run of games together at club level.

Doing well but never seems as exciting as he was. Doesn’t seem to use his incredible pace to take on the opposing fullback. He’s in the England team but still more to come. Fantastic player.

He is in a conventional back 4 now as opposed to the wing back role he often had with us. He's also up against a much higher quality of opponent. It's actually unbelievable that Boro couldn't see anything in him.

I think it was more personal with Warnock thinking he was a dickhead rather than ability

It wasn't just Boro though. Was also Leeds, and Rennes, and Genoa. It was only just over a year ago that Spurs were trying to shift him at a 50% loss (so about 8m) but couldn't get any takers.

I'm delighted that he's got his career back on track and things seem to have stabilised off the field - but let's not pretend that this was all down to the odd club or manager not "getting it". Clearly something wasn't right there for a while and it worked at Forest because we had a manager capable of going above and beyond to get him performing.

Speaking of BJ. He could've put his collar straight for the Spurs away kit photoshoot

Let's hope he's guilty, eh?
Well, because everything in Britain is totally f**ked up, his trial for the charges of 7 rapes and a couple of sexual offences is not going to be in court until next year.
Good job it wasn't a serious crime he was accused of.
women accusing him of the crimes have had their lives ruined.
He gets to play football and live the life of luxury.
If he is eventually found guilty hope the punishment is appropriate.
But, naturally he is innocent until proven otherwise.

I don’t think I would want to shake hands with a bloke who has been charged with 6 counts of rape and one count of sexual assault on 4 different women, regardless of whether he ends up being one of the absolute tiny percentage of rapists in this country that get convicted or not.

So I don’t think the verdict really matters to me or quite possibly Djed Spence.

Every chance he gets off I suppose, once the defence barrister (almost certainly a woman) spends the whole trial tearing down the victims’ lives, past, sexual history, medical history, professional life, what they were wearing, going through their phones and all sorts of other itrelevant information to basically paint them all as sluts/gold diggers/liars (or all three).

It’s not difficult to convince a couple of people on a jury when so many people in general have such outdated, incorrect and biased views on rape, consent and sexual violence.

Probably why rape is so prevalent but rape convictions are so low…..
