He's going on loan to club who just got promoted to the main league in Portugal?

The ground holds 5000. Whether that's a correlation to quality, who knows. However in terms of size, Field Mill is almost double.

He was quick, outside of that, I cant see what positives attributes we look to have missed out on.

Very little end product to speak of & he was lightweight.

He didn't get much game time here, but if two different managers didn't fancy him then chances are it is because neither manager thought he was good enough. Couldn't get in the team ahead of the disappointing Gil Dias and eventually fell further down the pecking order behind young Arvin Appiah. Next.

Scored for his new side yesterday to put them top of the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

Wasn’t physical enough for the Championship but there was always a player there.

It was actually a different Goncavles. Pedro Goncalves. He's been on the bench for them and hasn't really played much at all.

Famalicao (the team he's playing for) are an interesting team. They have just been promoted and sit top, they seem to be one of Mendes' new club. Some familiar faces in their team and they seem to be using English market. Toni Martinez, Miranda, Lameiras, Goncalves & Josh Tymon all moving from England to them.

If he didn’t get that f***ing red card. He was good, idk why Karanka refused to play him? Especially when we had Dias lol.

Looks like he’s bulked up a bit. He’d shown glimpses of what he could do but was always too lightweight

5 goals and 8 assists in 26 games for Diogo this season at Famalicao. Captain for them in midweek too.

For balance, Marcus Edwards has scored 6 and has 9 assists in the same league in 24 games and is linked with big money moves to England.

Really think we f**ked up on this one. I've been following him with interest and he has a lot of quality. The Gil Dias signing really held him back, blocked his opportunities and I think he had a lot more to give than Dias.

Will be one in a few years who I think we'll go, 'why the f*** didn't he get a proper chance here'.

He'll probably be in Benfica's first team squad next season.

Limited chances here, but don't remember him making much impact here beyond his obvious pace. Looked lightweight & loved a blind alley. I don't blame their nose up based on what we saw. Could be the pace & style of the Portugese league is more condusive.

One regret I suppose would be Dias got the lions share of the opportunities, now he was shit.

If he didn’t get that red card that one game, things feel like it could’ve been different with him.

Starts for Benfica vs Arsenal in the UEL tonight. Skinned the Arsenal left back a few times already.

I don’t understand his exclusion from the team originally. He was doing well, got a red card then never played again. Much like Iuannnou.

Hopefully this time Ian gets a chance in the summer.

Yes, the two players who actually looked like they had something about them
. Funny isn’t it.
