Did anyone see PVH in the Scottish masters last night?

He played for Celtic and had a stormer! I know alot of fans still harbour bad vibes to the man but you can't say he's not a quality footballer, i will always remember him for what he did for Forest with his amazing free kicks and peno's, not the way he left the club by being a jerk(Even if he was right!)
Anyho, he defo had alot of team spirit last night by tracking back and getting stuck in, scored a couple of beaut's and pretty much took a shot from anywhere! Can anyone else remember Regi Blinker as he was awesome, think he may have played for Sheff Weds? And also former reds ledge Ray mckinnon played pretty well for Dundee too. I know its the Central masters on sat, can't go as i'm at a wedding, will anyone else be going?

Love the guy. Nicest footballer I have ever met and a true gent. He went about things the wrong way, but in the long term we could see his point ! If we hadn't sold Kev Campbell then how things may be different now !

No real difference only Glover in place of Jemo

I'm quite surprised he played for Celtic in the Masters, given that he left saying that '£7,000 was good enough for the homeless to live on, but not an international striker'. lol

You've got to respect arrogance like that.

Loved watching him as a player. The idea that when we needed a goal, he could stand on the edge of the box, demand the ball and smash it home for a late winner, it was amazing. My dad doesn't even like football and it was a real labour of love to take me to Nottingham once a month, but even he liked watching Pierre play.

Yes we know he was a **** but the fact is he was a facking amazing player in his time here. I'm sure he will be hoping Forest make it through to the finals so he can catch up with his old teammates! Lol.

PVH rates a 10/10 in :w**ker: stakes, a little in front of the likes of Neil Webb and Bohinen, still unsure how to rank him alongside Collymore. Who I feel was an absolute and utter bastard to Forest and our fans, yet gave so much in his short time here.

WAS Stan as bad as you say Sedgred? I can't remember the details. Had he still got loads to run on a contract? Did he refuse to play for us unless he got a move? We still (as a club) accepted Liverhubcap's offer of £8.5 million. The club should have hung onto him, but was it in his contract that he could go after someone offered a certain amount?
As for PVH - great player where a little humility would have allowed us all to like the bloke a little (including his team-mates). Forest have always had this (dare I say it?) small-club mentality, where we have let people go without sorting out their replacements first. Result? Decline. Let's hope that's all ended now, otherwise we end up grooming our players for other clubs to buy!

I've got no issues with Stan Collymore whatsoever. This was a player of extraordinary talents who should have had a long and successful career with Forest.

Unfortunately, he either got his head turned or just couldn't see the wood for the trees and didn't realise what he had. A classic example of someone who needed the right kind of people around him.

I knew someone who booked him for a corporate presentation and he said his behaviour was very strange indeed. I'm not saying he was unhinged but he certainly needed good people around him.

Do you remember when we were not sure if he would play during the week and then late Friday or even Saturday the nod would come that he would play...what a feeling!

That last season when we finished third and then he left for Liverpool...and acheived nothing except hassle, stress...Villa...Leics...Bradford...Dogging...Talksport.

He was brilliant for us, such a shame that team got broken up. I'm sure we would have got to the final of the UEFA Cup if he'd have stayed.

Mind you, when we lost to Bayern I almost felt proud to have lost to such a fantastic performance by them and there supporters were amazing. Brilliant club and even now I have a soft spot for them.

Ill respect any player, club or fans if they are honest and true to their beliefs.

Good luck Stan, wish you'd stayed.

Good post. I used to work for a very prominent businessman in Nottingham who always told me that nobody really owned Forest, they (the directors and Brian Clough) treated it like their own private member club - borrowing money, freebies, deals, favours, cosy drinks, nice place to have some fun... you get the picture.

I will stand by the opinion that the club never really exploited the EC wins, bought badly, fire fought constantly. Lets just hope when we get back to the top flight again we really grasp it with both hands. It'll not be the same as it was - too many good things have changed, but as Sky rightly said "It's a whole new ball game" and how true that is.
