Derby Racist's

Just haveing a flick through fb having joined the ''PETITION: Nathan Tyson to carry Great Britains flag into the 2012 Olympics'' ;D I predictably came across a newly formed ''we hate nathan tyson group''. To be expected in the in the name of good humoured banter, however flicking through the wall post I was stunned to see this on the first page

'' Shouldn't he be sent home to start shaking spears instead of flags the dimwit ****? I suppose Forest ***** would think it'd be a good move, but then again these are people that'd sell their own sister for the next fix. Scumbags''

Wouldnt paint them in a very good light if their fans are seen to be subjecting him racist abuse now would it

Link to the group http://www.facebook.com/search/?q=n...215282&ref=search&sid=503302719.4146913363..1

I wasnt at the game, so I cant make any aliigations about any of the derby fans at the game, but this sort of thing is totally unacceptable.

There have been a couple of racist comments towards the Forest boys since the post-match thing on Saturday,
Not saying that Derby are worse than anyone else, coming to an element of supporters that use racism in their "banter", but it's sad when it does happen'. Racism in football should be long gone, and happily there's not much left... from what I've seen/heard anyway...
Sure the majority of the Derby fans, like the fans of any other club, are ashamed by the minority of their support who does these things.

It's a sad state of affairs when recism is brought into football. It has no place. I seem to remember last year an abundance of comments relating to how many black players fielded against Derby. I find it strange that when Derby who have also had a black contingent of players, the minority should stoop to this level.

Absolute disgrace, with the Earnie chants the perpetrators should be found and shot. I must stress I appreciate it is the minority, and we all must remember this. Still, it's something derby should be investigating !

To be honest Derby have those knuckle dragging supporters who make racists comments like that and so do Forest so we can't really have a go (Remember vs Leicester - 'just a town full of pakis' chant)

It's the sad reality that every team will have a tiny minority of a fanbase who say things like this.

Yes it is and yes it's sad. I don't like Nathan Tyson, but that dislike is based wholly and only upon him wearing a red football shirt and holding a football corner flag in his hand while bearing an hypnotically hideous grin.

As for his personality or private life, which is nothing to do with me, I know nothing, and he could be a lovely chap. But my opinion of him would never, ever, be formed on his ethnicity or appearance...

Kick racism out of football...for good.

Is this football or society's problem. How can DCFC be held responsible for the comments of one/some of their followers, likewise how can Forest be held responsible for the chanting at Leicester. Which I must admit made me smile...............for so little effort, huge a huge wind up.

What a f***ing twat.

Someone ought to inform this inbred knuckle-dragger that the lad who 'scored' their goal was black.

There are idiots at every club. I'm sure we have our fair share of racists.

I used to sit in front of a guy who went nuts when ever a black player made a mistake and barely celebrated their goals. As sedge says it's a problem for society not Derby.

He is a lovely chap. He is how modern day professional's should conduct themselves off the pitch.

Anything that is football's problem is also society's, but how often do you hear racist chanting on the street? How can you combat it if you don't punish the club? Try and track down every crowd member? The best remedy is to make them play behind closed doors; the crowd will very quickly start to police itself.

The comment is on Facebook. How can you make clubs play behind close doors because of someone on Facebook who probably dosn't even attend games.

I would have thought reporting the comment and commenter to Facebook might make more sense.

Or just ignore it, I doubt Tys would lose any sleep over such idiocy.

It's no less than I expected really and there's little difference in mindlessness of some Derby fans to that of some Forest and some of every other football team.

Colour and race is a blatant, cheap, low and easy target for insults and it just proves how shallow and narrow minded some fans can be.

I well imagine that Tyson is a wanted man across Derbyshire for his flag antics and it's to be expected that he will shoulder the full responsibility, in the eyes of Derby fans, for their inadequacies on the pitch and their inability to take points from us in the league.

No one can blame Derby fans for their obvious dislike of Tyson, Camp and Earnshaw etc etc etc the same way we have insulted the likes of Commons and Savage, yet to use colour and race is unacceptable, inappropriate and totally distasteful.

You could say that he's a flagbearer for professional standards.

It's sad when people have to lower themselves to racism to insult someone or a group of people. It should have no place in football anymore but at least it is a minority and the majority are ashamed of them.

Tyson is clearly not even black or african, it always puzzles me as to why a mixed race person automatically 'defaults' to being black.

There was a thead on a DC forum called something "did you notice all the players in the fight were black"

Indeed, you can't really mistake Teale, unless the original poster was referring only to human players and not zombies which Teale clearly is.

To be fair, there is a lot of anti-Welsh comment when we are critical of Savage. Strikes me as odd that this is deemed much more acceptable than commenting on skin colour.

That would be xenophobic rather than racist, wouldn't it?

It would, but so too would be talk of 'heading back to Africa', or associating Tyson with African past times.
