Delia Debola to Ipswich

Just cannot see that one happening. He has no need to put in 90 mins everyweek, allows him to husband his strength and make the positive contributions when called upon. BD has worked carefully to build his squad and seems ludicrous now to let one of his major options for change up front go.

We've not long signed him!

Only if we can sign someone to do the archetypal Adebola job better than Adebola, and I can't think of anyone we could sign.

Dele Adebola is an unsung hero of Nottingham Forest Football Club.

Adebola will be staying, it'd be too much of a blow to lose him - regardless of what certain nincompoops would tell you.

I'm sure Dele would be only too happy to tell Keane to go and f*** himself.

Dele has been an important member of the squad so far. No guarantees that a replacement would slot in and do a job for the rest of the season, so to get rid of him now would be very very stupid.
Not going to happen until the summer at least.

Dele is one of our least likely players to be leaving in January. Come May, I'd take this thread slightly more seriously.

I think the reason he was signed on more than a one-year contract was so that we had more than one season to attempt going up and if we did it in one, we'd still be able to get a small fee for him.

Adebola fits into the Forest style of play and whatever BD has asked him to do, he has done it to the letter.

At this moment in time Adebola is an integral part of Billy's plans and I can't see him disrupting things right now.

Should we go up, we will be in the market for Premiership quality players whereby Adebola will probably be off loaded then, but at this moment in time he will help us to achieve our goal for this season.

Besides, hasn't Billy already said - he wants to increase the size of his squad? Taking Adebola out (who cost nothing) would mean him replacing him with someone which will cost us money, unless he brings in someone on loan, and if he does that they will just possibly be bench warming.

My opinion - It won't happen.

Not even a smidgen of a chance that Dele will be sold. Especially as Tyson and Goldie seem immune to scoring goals of late.

Adebola won't be going anywhere, he does a very good job for us. There is no-one else who gives us such a physical presence or can hold the ball up as well as he does in the squad. We stand a better chance of going up with him on board.

The maximum fee we would get from Ipswich would probably only be around the 100k mark as well, hardly an incentive to let him go.

I agree though that we will need better for the Premiership so they can have him in the summer.

Forest have been linked with a number of strikers (including Moses who can play wing or up front). I would imagine if Billy gets one of the strikers he is after he would let Dele leave for a small fee (and a nice profit as he was free).

So a lot depends on what else happens in the transfer market in the meantime.

I think it all comes down to common sense - "If it ain't broke - don't try to mend it"!!!

Adebola is settled here and has played a big part in getting us up to second in the league.

Billy ain't going to upset the apple cart if there is no need too - besides we are on the run in now and to ship Adebola out and bring in someone who might or might not make it or even take a while to fit in would be absolutely ludicrous.
