Dele Adebola's Stick Already

I keep reading about all of our signings - and the one that gets the most negative comments is Dele Adebola. Lets give the guy a chance. He hasn't even pulled on a shirt for forest yet, and hes already getting stick. Lets give the guy a chance, he was playing in average teams the last few years and has scored goals, and with good players supporting him from midfield and a good strike partner - he can do well again.

fair one i may have gone overbored on what i was trying to say - but he got bristol city's player of the season last year, and scored 15 goals in all comps with average players around him

Agreed - but hes not like andy cole, who had played a handful of times over 3 seasons, he played 55 times last year for and average team and ok 15 goals in 55 games isn't brilliant, but hes the type of player who brings another option. I'd say you can't really question his fitness playing that many games at this level - so - although you might be suprised to hear this - I RECKON WE SHOULD GIVE HIM A CHANCE..

A great addition in my opinion, we have no real target in the air or that poses a threat strength wise until we signed Dele.

Can anyone remember the amount of balls launched upfront from the back which Earnshaw simply had no chance of winning therefore giving away cheap possesion?

I think any player getting stick before he has played is harsh.

But I'd have to agree with people who doubt the validity of Nottingham Forest signing the big man.

He's not young and he's not prolific.
We didn't give him a contract because he wanted two years. From his personal view, who can blame him?

I would have been annoyed if we had offered a guy his age a two year deal.

We've given him a contract, a signing on fee I'm sure, probably some relocation money. I cannot understand for the life of me buying a 33 year old for a hungry aggresive player in his early twenties who wants to prove himself.

I hope he does succeed, for the sake of the club and the bigger picture.

One of our major problems last season was lack of experience. Being a squad of young players is all good but they also need some players who have been around the block a bit for certain situations.

Do you even know what this means? You said it, then didn't use any context whatsoever.

We have 4 other strikers capable of scoring 20 goals a season. We did, however, need the option of having a strong, tall player for them to play off. THAT is the situation in context.
