Davies: We owe fans an apology

No wonder my post count..
Well at least he was honest, which is why I don't go writing the guy off.

Calderwood was honest. There ain't no points for honesty, there's points for winning and there's points for drawing.

I think it is something all managers would do after losing 5-0!

Hah yeah. Lord knows what the backlash would be if he blamed it squarely on either - the age/the opposition/the board.

On the way home I told my Bolton supporting mate that I would have been much happier with his teams scoreline (they lost 3-1)

While CC was a genuine guy, his interpretation about performances baffled me and he never gave an honest assessment about the games. It was as if I had seen a completely different game. Plus he was far too nice, and a reason we keep hearing stories of players misbehaving.

Thought all of the interview was fair comment and about right. Unfortunately, the performance today was well short of what we need.

We might not be expecting to get points off Wolves, but we at least have to show a bit of character and I have a feeling this time next week we'll have a much better idea of where we will be playing.

It'll be a crying shame if we go down. The players, on paper, should be good enough. So what is it? Are the players actually good enough to finish fourth from bottom?

Maybe the players should be re-funding your fans who went today (and maybe Tuesday) for the lack of performances?

I doubt it was cheap today and it seems your side didn't turn up.

Ofcourse you'll win next week against Wolves though!

Can't see that happening...the refunding of money im talking about.

Wolves however u never know. Keep Edwards, Ebanks-Blake, Kightly quiet etc we will stand a chance

One problem...

Was it Bolton that did that for its fans not so long ago? I know they still do free away travel for fans, which is something more clubs might think about after rubbish like today.

Got to say, Horns (nice to see you're still knocking about here, by the way!), it would be just like Forest TO beat Wolves next week. When it comes to form and results we're about as consistent as a bowl of lumpy porridge, and have been for many years...

After the last few games, though, our confidence is shot to bits. With a nervous (read "jumpy and easily swayed to vindictive") home crowd, Wolves will either be a blindingly good performance, or...get yourself to the bookies and investigate double-figures.... :(

At full time today there was about 200 odd reds still left in the ground out of about 1500 plus,Billy, you can only work with what youv'e got, don't you apologise, you should have got them players to physically come over to us and say sorry to our faces, the away support is getting a tad bit annoyed now with the lack of passion and commitment being shown once we go behind.....the lot we are watching now I suspect won't be here next season,Morgan,Thornhill, McLeary and Perch being the exceptions. :(

Only just heard his interview but it sounds like there was a bollicking or two and I reckon there will be a big clear out for next season

Trouble is, that may be too late for our Championship survival... :(

I'm not sure if I se much of a clear out happening (regardless of which league we're in). I see more of an input of players coming in so that hte younger players aren't forced to take the limelight until they are ready. I mean, we hear plenty of times on here how such-and-such has got potential quality, but that they aren't quite ready for regular first team duties. So this is how I see things going in the summer. Or how I think Davies will want to conduct business over the summer.

You'd be surprised. A good many would make excuses. At leas Billy admits it was unacceptable.
