Southampton to ask for permission to speak to Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davis.

There has been a lot of speculation regarding the relationship between BD and the board. Southampton will offer compensation and the Forest will accept because it means they can get rid of their manager without paying out and can bring in a new man believed to be Alan Pardew of all people!

Just seen it now don't believe it myself but what do you think?

living in southampton i had heard about this earlier in the day from my mate who's a Southampton fan. According to him its on most of there reliable forums put on by someone who predicted the appointment of Pardew before he arrived at southampton and said there was internal problems at Southampton before Pardew was sacked. He was under the impression that we had already given them permission to talk to Davies as the board were getting sick of his attitude and this saved them paying him off when they sacked him, and there is no doubting that they have the money to convince him to come and they tend to leave the managers in charge of the transfers so that would appeal to Davies. just thought I would add what i know.
 
Why would he go to Southampton, is there someone there who needs recommendations and advice?
 
What's going on with Southampton anyway? They were all set to appoint Nigel Adkins earlier, then didn't. :dunno:
 
hmm if we end up with pardew im off to the ticket office to see If I can withdraw my investment and return my season ticket and attend the games I can actually get to
 
According to SSN, the deal for Adkins could be back on again.

Which possibly makes this rumour a complete load of tripe!

First things first, it's off the "football rumour website" lol

Second, If Billy thinks he's got it hard now, he won't know what's hit him with Courtese or however you spell it.
