Davies on the lookout...

...for new signage.

Nottingham Forest are stepping up their search for new signs.

After failing to strengthen visual directions around the City Ground, as he would have wished during the January DIY sales, boss Billy Davies has revealed a fresh list of targets is being compiled.

The Scot (pictured above), who felt his fans looked jaded despite the team beating Middlesbrough at the City Ground on Saturday, said: "There are lots of fans who spend the entire first half wandering around the stadium, unsure of exactly where they should be going. By the time they find where they're meant to be, they've got no energy left to support the players"
He added: "We are looking at the type of signs we can quickly install and the type of money it will cost us. All we are doing at this stage is gathering information and discussing things as staff. There is nothing concrete just yet, but we are planning things again.
"That never stops to a degree, you are always looking at how you might make your signage better. But there are serious discussions going on now about what we might be able to do.
"We are looking at crowd flows and the best places to install indformation points. Once we make a decision I can get my tool box out and start installing them."
When questioned if Billy was micro-managing things he should be leaving to the ground staff, the scotsman walked off mumbling something under his breath.
