Davies having a go

Davies says he wants more positive support from the fans, referring more to the Watford game than today. A bit cheeky given the performance against Watford.

Given how shit the fans were on Tuesday he has a point.

Maybe he should give us something to be positive about? Unless he wants us to be positive about how pathetic we played?

Sometimes they deliver inexcusable performances despite being backed by intially positive support - Doncaster at home last season rings true to this.

However, sometimes we as a crowd don't really help by getting up in arms the second something goes even slightly wrong.

Given the result the fans had a point. I'm not one to dig at players, i'd rather enthuse than tell them what they know they are doing wrong.

it easy to have a dig at fans who PAY OUT a huge percentage of there wages each week to support there club, becuase they are being negative, I am rapidly going off davies now he is having verbal atacks at the fans, im sorry but if the fans are getting restless then maybe our players that are PAYED to preform should use this to spur them on, these are not school kids who need possitive encourgement to keep them preforming these are pro footballers for gods sake.

I don't think what Billy said was any way out of order, at the end of the day forest fans don't help themselves and never take long to get on the back if things aren;t going to plan.

All he is saying is that given the number of signings we've got and the fact that it was only our 3rd game of the season after by all account putting on a good performance against WBA that fans need to a be more patient.

Yes we've had bad times in the last decade but gradually things are improving and we've had the most productive transfer summer for years so he is within his rights to ask for a bit of patience from the fans at this very early stage.

Billy says what he thinks and on this subject has said what I and a lot of forest fans probably think at times about our fellor impatient supporters

Away support - one of the best in the league

Home support - one of the worst (in terms of support, not numbers)

the worse thing about our home support is the fact plenty of the supporters know very little about football! from the amount of crap being spouted on tuesday most people don't have a clue

I think over the last few years of often miserable performances it has got easier and easier to start having a go more and more quickly, it's built up frustration as much as anything I think. It's not just us though. I remember years ago I ended up going to Man City's FIRST match of the season against Leeds (in the days of Reid being player manager) and after cheering every player before the start on a sunny summer's day with a great atmosphere they were loudly booed off at half time by the majority of the crowd and they weren't even losing! Another team with "the best fans in the world" [rolls eyes].

Let's not forget that the QPR fans booed their side off all full time yesterday. It's just the way home fans behave when thy've had too much disappointment for too long.

I would be in a much more possitive mood if BD kepted his gob shut and stoped going off on one every other day, at the start of the season I was very optimistic about the new season, 3 games in billys rants and playing performances have started to shoot my confidence to peices and Im starting to worry about the club once again

Its a shame, because i thought when they crowd got behind the team on Tuesday it was a cracking atmosphere.

Not saying people dont have a right to moan for a £400 season ticket, or £25 a mtach you say what you like! Just think 3 games into the season is a bit early to start panicking.

It's always been this way. Even in the good old days the crowd would give the team stick when not winning 8-0. The first ever nickname for a player I learnt was "Mary" McGovern due to the bloke stood behind me yelling it every time McGovern got the ball, accompanied with the advice "get it forward you soft ****"

It happens everywhere and I'm fairly certain BD knows this and is just trying to get us to do more regardless of what's being served up.
