To my mind there's a big difference between a player coming from the Italian leagues who is Italian and has only known Italian football to a player like Milenkovic or Dominguez, who grew up in the more physical football of Croatia and Argentina ... nearly every player that comes to the PL seems to need at least half a season to get to grips with the speed, athleticism and physicality required... even players from the likes of France, Holland and Germany who play a more English type of football than the Italians, so I'd be really wary of a signing like this.

Milenkovic is Serbian and he went straight from Partizan (one of the biggest clubs in Serbia) to Fiorentina, where he played for many years, and then to us. And he is a monster physically, which is why he got in straight away.

Agree on the difference in speed AND physicality though. Both are required. Even those well accustomed to the English game can find the Prem to be too much - just ask Worrall and McKenna, or just remember our first game back.
