No, he's not like for like re: Wilson. I said it in the Higginbotham thread (who, similar to Wheater, is a very good centre back) that I worry we'll lose something if Kelvin goes and we replace him with someone less dynamic.
 
He would want too much a week I'd feel. But I would like to see a tall just head and kick the ball away type defender. Even if Wilson stayed as he wouldn't be a direct replacement.

He has gone backwards in the last couple of seasons from the fringes of the England team to the fringes of obscurity. I think he needs a change of scenery....probably somewhere like Blackburn.
 
Wheater can easily help when it comes to breaking down the attack. By the time he's done with them they look like poo.

This news is very easy to digest.
 
I was talking hypothetically. If he's going anywhere it'll be to a lower end premier league side like blackburn or someone of that ilk.
