Ex players?,
Stags looking to the future then. Seem to like signing geriatrics
Was saving his energy to prolong his careerWhat surprises me is that he still has the commitment to keep playing, when he barely looked like he wanted to play football when he was in his 20s
He's done a good job of it to be fair, he's got 73 goals since he turned 35 - quite amazing considering he never scored many before that. Was saving his energy to prolong his career
I remember at least one transfer window in the League One days where loads of us stayed up right until the end on here in the hope that we'd sign McGoldrick (amongst others). Didn't quite work out when we finally did grab him, but he's had a terrific career.I saw David McGoldrick play for Port Vale on loan when Forest beat them in League One in 2007-he stood out
like a diamond in a poor Vale side and I was pleased when we signed him in 2009.
It never worked out for him at the City Ground but he’s often impressed elsewhere.
I’m not sure everyone misses the excitement of the Marthur transfer windows.I remember at least one transfer window in the League One days where loads of us stayed up right until the end on here in the hope that we'd sign McGoldrick (amongst others). On a side note, something has been lost from transfer deadline day now berks like Romano post everything. I miss staying up until the wee hours hoping against sanity that we'll sign Will Hoskins. Granted, it always ended in disappointment when we'd inevitably sign nobody - but there was excitement at least.
Who wouldn't want the bi-annual excitement of failing to sign Neil Danns, Peter Whittingham and Darren Pratley?I’m not sure everyone misses the excitement of the Marthur transfer windows.![]()
Absolutely. It used to be when Romano tweeted it was pretty much a done deal. Now he will post what is fed to him.I remember at least one transfer window in the League One days where loads of us stayed up right until the end on here in the hope that we'd sign McGoldrick (amongst others). He was (still is for that matter) a good player Norman, with a more-than-decent first touch and intelligent movement. Being very one-paced was possibly a reason why he failed to step-up to PL-level. A combination of various injuries and a style-of-play that didn't really suit him probably impacted him here as much as anything else.I saw David McGoldrick play for Port Vale on loan when Forest beat them in League One in 2007-he stood out
