David Healy

don't know much about him TBH but he seems to do well for Ulster so might be good at this level...
 
Hes certainly past his best! Still won't say no, any signing would be welcome! Think we have greater needs than another striker though! On another note, Garner can't even get a game at Huddersfield :( maybe he will turn out to be a total bust
 
An actual rumour not started on here! Probably nothing in it though...
 
I think he would be a great loan signing, but it's hard sometimes to believe we are ever going to announce any signing ever again.

Am now looking back at the Bertrand announcement with nostalgia......those were the days. Sorry, I mean that was the day.
 
Blimey, I'd forgotten all about him, already though he was at a championship club!
 
I think he's always been a better international player than club player, looking at his goals record for country compared to clubs. So, not sure. Then again, any signing....
 
The only times he's really had a good run of games at clubs (PNE and Leeds), he's scored goals. For whatever reasons he has often find himself on the bench... but from what I've seen he's a very good finisher and would be a very good addition.

Healy Interest From Donny And Fo

Doncaster Rovers are reported to be keen to end former Leeds striker David Healy's exile at Premier League side Sunderland.

The Northern Ireland international has become the forgotten man at the Stadium of Light, having last played for the Wearsiders in an FA Cup third round tie against non-league Barrow in January.

Championship sides Rovers and Nottingham Forest would both like to sign the 31-year-old, with the former in the box seat to land the record Northern Ireland scorer on loan until the New Year.

Whoever Healy joins, Sunderland are expected to have to subsidise Healy's £20,000-a-week wages, which are beyond all but the top clubs in the Championship.

Healy was signed by Roy Keane for the Black Cats from Fulham in a deal worth around £1m in August 2008.

But the former Whites goal-poacher has never started a Premier League game for the Wearsiders with all 13 league appearances he has made coming from the bench.

Bought for 1m, on 20k a week and hasn't started a game for them in two years.

Now I'm not sure if it says more about Roy Keane or Healy but it doesn't bode well.

Also under Keane & Bruce (who took charge in June 2009) he has only made his 13 appearances by coming off of the bench.
 
Is this what it's all come down to?.
A player who's pretty much anonymous at club level who is also past his best anyway.
Please Billy/TAP don't bother, and to ND keep your precious money in your pocket.

Given that Healy is from Northern Ireland, he shouldn't be put off signing by a spot of rioting.
