David Bently Kieron Dyer ?

Nottingham Forest have a surprisingly short list of targets for January's window, and the majority of those will be loans until the end of the season. Unless a deal can be ressurected to bring Gareth Bale to the CG, which looks less and less likely as Birmingham are now turning their interest into contact, Forest will look to Shorey at Aston Villa to provide competition at LB, who has failed to break into the first team this season after rejecting a loan move to Pompey. One Spurs player who may be on the way though is David Bentley. Without a place in the Spurs squad most weeks, the England winger wants to show what he can do and play his way into the shop window next summer. Pleat is confident he can convince Harry, but we shall see. The only other target that Billy Davies is looking at is Kieron Dyer from West Ham. BD wants another old head to help out McKenna and to steady the ship. With Dyer not getting in the Hammers side at the moment, and his wages considerable, with their current economic plight they could well consider a deal that includes paying a hefty chunk of his salary.

The last thing we need right now is an arrogant so and so like David Bentley coming in and unsettling everyone.

Last week that website said QPR are signing Charles Darwin and Graham Norton. They might as well discuss the relative merits of Mr Muscle and Cillit Bang for all the success they've had predicting transfers.

And is Keiron Dyer even fit?

I was sorting some stuff out in the loft the other day ready for moving and I found an England Pennant signed by Dyer from a few years back when he was starting to impress for the national side.

Bet it's worth about 10p now!

That website is a load of tosh.

Bently ? Spurs bought him for 15 million one and a half years ago and he's still Lennon's backup considering how injury prone Lennon can be , not to mention , he has started for the last couple of games for Spurs.

Let's be honest , if these are the players that forest is going to be targeting , i expect a barren january transfer window. ND can safely keep his money inside his wallet , yeh for him and Billy have to make do as per usual for this club. Only Nicky Shorey has an outside chance of perhaps getting.

Darwin is a wise old head and Norton never seems to get penalised for tackling from behind, so maybe they're not such no-hopers after all.

I hear darwin is good at developing attacking moves?

He would be a natural selection choice for most managers, and with him I can see them evolving into a decent side, with only the fittest teams being able to survive against them.

He is fit at the moment, but is a bigger sicknote than Darren Anderton.

He's not. I think he got injured again last week.

I think Silenzi got more first team football in the Prem that Dyer ever has !

Dyer and Shorey could happen, to be fair they would be good signings. Still can't see it happening though.

well, imo 3 good signings in Jan would be very constructive towards sending us up...

If Dyer could stay fit for a season, he'd be an awesome signing at this level. That's a huge IF, though!

I think theres more chance of us getting Bale in than either Bentley or Dyer, but if I had to pick from either of those I'd go for Bentley - he may be a t**t but I recon he'd knuckle down with Billy and McKenna giving him 'what-for'' both off and on the pitch

EDIT: If I had the choice between Bentley and securing Majewski on a permanent deal , I'd go for Raddy instead :p

i have heard that a short list of just 6 players that Billy wants has been given to the transfer panel.

im trying to find out who they are...but its known that he wants to bolster the squad to get more options...whats the odd's its for 6 more strikers ?

I have doubts over whether Dyer could be bothered to knuckle down and try and re-build his reputation outside of the Premiership.
