David Beckham is from Sarf Landan, ish.

Mushy peas, as Dan will assure you (I know cos I used to live in London and had to educate several local chippies in the ways of mushy peas)..mushy peas DO NOT EXIST in that area.

Probably why they're all so miserable and on strike.... :D

Correctamundo Flagman. They don't like musy peas down here. Poor effort.

Don't they have some kind of blended mushy pea concoction to go with their pie, mash and jellied eels? Not sure about the mint sauce though.

I eat my peas with honey.
I've done it all my life.
It makes the peas taste funny.
But it keeps them on the knife.

We should ask Vital Forest (or whatever they are called), they seem to know everything.

well where does one squirt ones excess ketchup?

You don't squirt ketchup. You tap the bottle of the bottle lightly until some drops out

One of our kids at school got into serious trouble last week for squirting ketchup on his chips. The correct form is to put a small amount on the side of the plate and dip the chips into it. We also have a rule that says you are allowed bread with a meal but making a sandwich with it is loutish behaviour.

I can honestly say you haven't lived if you haven't had mushy peas and mint sauce.

There's a whole bloody great big stall in the Viccy Centre Market that sells 'em....

Bloody lovely!

Hmm, I have a big tin of mushy peas downstairs, quite tempted to get 'em cooked and the mint sauce out!

Why do you keep the peas on another floor?
Shouldn't they be within grabbing distance?

Well I tend to keep them with the cooking appliances, which are in the kitchen, which is downstairs.

I, on the other hand, am upstairs.

There is a whole sector of psychology, or at least a facet, dedicated to interpretations of how you dress your chips with ketchup.
