Bad pun aside, he was released by West Ham, so there will be no transfer fee.

If he can achieve top form and thats probably a big if, then he would easily be the best CB at the club

IF he can prove his fitness levels then for free he'd be a bloody good signing. I have to say after almost losing a leg thats a bloody big IF though!
