Danny ****tu has had his contract paid up at Bolton and Forest are at front of the queue to sign him (Same source as Liam Lawrence rumour so take it with a piece of salt if you want to!) What do you think to this rumour? :)
 
We only have three decent centre backs in the squad (not counting Lynch as he is garbage) so he could provide some much needed cover/competition. Would be worth taking on trial at least.
 
Since the board has failed in the aim to make permanent signings, we are desperate to increase the size of our squad. Unfortunately I doubt we'll be able to get any real quality via the loan system, so we'll have to settle for players who won't break into the first team but can provide adequate cover. $hittu pretty much fits the bill....although I'd also be tempted by Jay De Merit for this position. He is a free agent - not sure if we can still sign him though (can't exactly be loaned to us if he doesn't have a club!)
 
No way he looked really chunky and slow in the world cup for nigeria, not good enough and will demand a hefty wage, screw him.

You can sign players who are unattached outside of the transfer window.

What does this tell you -

Burnley - lost 1 - 0
Leeds - drew 1 - 1
Reading - drew 1 - 1
Norwich - drew 1 - 1

We're not conceding ridiculous amounts of goals... WE NEED TO SCORE MORE GOALS!!!

Billy, Doughty, Arthur.. Pleat!?! Whoever, just get some decent wingers or attacking midfielders in PLEASE!!!
 
Well I'd like more attacking options as well, but I don't think the results so far are too reflective of our creative ability. We've created so many chances in the first 3 games it's not funny. Plus, we know Blackstock and Earnshaw will bag plenty of goals....the lack of goals is probably just a bit of bad luck in the early games. What has actually frustrated me is the silly goals being given away by our defensive players. Morgan has looked pretty shaky at times, McKenna either needs more recovery time or has lost his legs. We could have easily won the first three games 1-0 if it wasn't for stupid mistakes at the back.
 
Forest should consider getting cover for anderson as mcleary is also injured and that would result in putting choen there and tyson on the left i know choen plays there now and then but tyson is not winger and can't play on the right!!!

I'd also rather sign Jay DeMerit. No idea why he is still without a club. Thought Palace or someone similar might go in for him.

he chose to run his contract down hopefully to get a move to the prem,after playing for usa in confederations and world cups he has a vastly over-rated opinion of himself after turning down offers from a fair few championship clubs
 
I hope we don't sign Danny Pootu, the swear filter would die of overuse. :D
 
I must be alone in thinking that Lynch isnt crap.

Admit that when he came, he looked slow and unfit.....towards the end of the survival season he was bombing forward and putting decent balls into the box from LB.

Clearly Billy doesnt rate him as hes only ever on the bench when we are needing to make up numbers. Match fit, I dont think hes that bad. Certainly not a great deal different to Chambers anyway.
 
Lynch came on leaps and bounds during his loan spell but never got fit enough to impose himself last season. It looks like the same will happen this season as well.
 
There ain't half some football snobbery going on here!!

I'm sure it was only a year ago people on here were 'creaming' themselves that $hittu had been linked with a loan move to us. Only back-up to what we've got?? A fit $hittu would displace Morgan without a doubt. Much as I love Big Wes - this is the best he'll be & he's looked shaky this season.

As for DeMerit. He is a quality Championship defender who has the potential to play in the lower Premier. That happens to be beter than where we are now, so if we could *convince* him to come here - he would be a quality addition to play alongside Kelv.

( *I do realise the fatal flaw in my above argument lol )

I personally think he did well at the end of last season. He played like Gunter does on the right, but just on the left lol
 
What happened with that Preston cb, Youle Mawaale, well he was called something like that!
 
Only the other week every forest fan appeared worried at the potential break-up of Morgan and Wilson. $hittu and DeMerrit are good players but will be looking for high wages and a guaranteed starting place. We need to look at areas of the team that are in more in need of strengthening, especially if money is tight
