That snapped ankle seemed to injure him mentally.
I would like to think he will heal completely over the next couple of seasons.
Forest don’t have the capacity to carry him.
We have done that with Sangare, and with Taiwo.

I was watching some 22/23 highlights earlier. Danilo was incredible at times that season - doing things none of our midfielders have done since. Never the same player after the injury.

He was mostly great in 23/24 too, linked up so well with MGW (Morgan's goal at home to Fulham just one example of many) and notched more goals than any other midfielder of ours in this PL era. Reading this thread back it seems he was underrated by Forest fans from my perspective at least. Agree he wasn't quite the same after the injury sadly.
