It’s just so transformational to have CMs who are available, all have their head up, can get themselves out of trouble and looking to pass the ball.

With the way we go forward it just has the potential to open teams up every single time we recover the ball.

Great to see him back out there. Hopefully he can also avoid the niggling muscle injuries players coming back from long spells out sometimes suffer.

Agree completely

Danilo isn't at his dynamic athletic self yet, but you saw those midfield splitting passes that started several attacks, what he does so well

Great to see him back & give Nuno less headaches

Us not being desperate for him to come in and perform for 90 mins straight away will hopefully allow him time to get back to his best.

I am not jinxing it so will say if we are 'a team who have a lot more games to play next season', having the depth we do at CM already will mean we might be able to adapt to those stresses.

Was genuinely surprised how sharp he looked. Having the quality options available to be able to rotate in center midfield could be massive for us for the rest of the season.

Quite a few nice progressive passes from the back to release the pressure and set attacks going.

Personally didn't have much hope for him this year but as Nuno said in the presser, he looked "ready".

Was concerned that he'd be quite rusty when I saw him in the starting XI today but he played well I thought. Great to see him back!

Some lovely forward passes. Nuno pointed out that he was caught in possession a couple of times in the first half, could have cost us on another day. Thankfully today was our day.

Great to see him back. Always looking for the positive ball.

Agreed. Bit off the pace in possession a couple of times.

However, he’s a Nuno player, he can pick that quality pass in transition. He’s got a future under a Nuno, it’s all about finding that team balance.

Quality player IMO.

One of the best passers in the squad, along with his many other attributes. Love this lad and hopefully he feels the love here.

I think he was actually a bit surprised at how good his touch was ha, twice he brought a ball down like Velcro but hadn’t decided what the next pass would be.

Like many other very, very, good players, he makes the game look easy.

Welcome back, young man. It‘s nice to see you again!

Great to have him back. Lovely ball to set MGW away from first goal. Now in lovely position where we have 2 weeks before next prem game. Nuno can assess, has option to play in fa cup or rest or up his intensity in training etc. I see squad is off to Dubai for training-nice 😊

Our midfield looked a different beast yesterday.

I love it. I've not seen us ping the ball from side to side like we were in that first half, usually we rely on Murillo to play the long balls. Danilo and the formation change just added a whole new thing to our game.
I don't know how much of that was just because Brighton decided that midfields are for pussies and how much was the balance of those three working really well.

I think Danilo's performance on Saturday sealed JWP's fate and confirmed that going back to West Ham was right for both parties.

Shame for JWP who seemed a good bloke and good pro but you can't compete with a player who puts in that shift for 60 minutes after not playing a second of Premier League football since mid-August. Danilo is the future.
