Football is weird, Ndoye could yet come out of this tournament looking good. Just not that good.
Of course after the debate against Egypt I'm all for Switzerland antagonising Argentina to the point where they become architects of their own defeat. It's a possibility worth staying up for.

Valuation will have possibly dropped post July 1st as he has 4 years left on his deal but rereading the Italian press versions of the transfer, we paid £34m, had £3.5m performance based add ons (Which won't be achieved) and had a 10% sell on clause (Of any amount not profit) so an Edu masterclass really. If he is not sold by next summer then the sell on clause apparently becomes void but we pay £3.5m to Bologna.
If we sell for £35m then £3.5m goes to Bologna now and we take a hit of £2.5m on the fee but probably come out ahead on his amortised value.
If we sell for £30m, then £3m goes to Bologna and we take a bigger hit on the fee but break even roughly on amortised value.
I think we will end up loaning him out with optional purchase clauses because even at £30m the clubs linked aren't too keen and his world cup performances don't help with that.
