I am not convinced football clubs have such short memories to be honest, he will still have a good market to sell too. He is proven in Italy, plenty of better players have not cracked the PL.

There have been 6 transfers in the last 5 years where an Italian club has bought a player at or in excess of the value we'd be looking for Ndoye.
Koopmeiners, Dovbyk, Openda, Hojlund, Douglaz Luiz and Chiesa. Most of those were Juventus purchases.
Dan Ndoye is miles off the levels of those players and Juventus aren't interested in him.
People assuming there'll be loads of interest from Italy are wide of the mark. The market just doesn't exist. We may get £10m-£15m bids from weaker Seria A teams, but we would like choose to keep him and loan him on repeat that crystalise a large FFP loss at those levels.

Absolutely this. No one, especially in Italy, is going to pay what we paid for him. Even if he had a good season here they wouldn’t but especially not at this point

Honestly I think though it looked like we got a good deal swapping Freuler for Dominguez, they are very similar players.
Freuler is a good player, he was just here at a time when we had 10 players behind the ball constantly, and didn't have any space or time to do his usual game, which is controlling the midfield and passing the ball well, we didn't do any of that provided we could kick the ball out for Johnson which he wasn't going to be able to replicate so we didn't see what he was capable of. I think having him in the side the last couple of seasons we'd see what he could do (and we paid a lot more for a similar player in Sangare).

You are very vague on the numbers of what we would apparently be looking for.
20 players were signed for over 20m last season alone.
There were 5 for over 30m, again just last season. Is that not what we would be looking for?
There is always a market for players that have performed well in a league. But I agree with YouReds, loan with obligation/option seems most likely.

N Doye has scored and looks a totally different player to what we have seen , perhaps Glasner will get a tune out of him.
