Where attacks go to die
At least the forum is still creative and entertaining, unlike our team.Where attacks go to die
He may have a high top speed but not over short distances. Add in he's slow of thought, weak and timid and it's an underwhelming mix.I think one of the missing links for Glasner is the other number10 - he clearly wants someone with pace to stretch the lines etc but Ndoye has pace but seems not m the quality. I like Jesus, brings a lot but not sure if his style is what Glasner wants as he drops deep at times.

Errrrrrmmm....JesusGlasner will keep picking him. He’s a system manager and we have nobody else who can play in that 10 role and will naturally run past the striker at every opportunity. Jesus is clearly a better player but he doesn’t play in the way that Glasner wants in that role
I wouldn't be against Jesus playing up top with Delap with just the one number 10 in MGW behind them. They would both offer something different.Errrrrrmmm....Jesus
You called?Errrrrrmmm....Jesus
I agree with all of this however I'm not even convinced he tracks back that much. I think his work off the ball is far from good enough. It seems like a definite ploy to me - Ndoye tracks back, certainly more than Jesus does, and I think Glasner likes to have that theoretical balance between defence and attack until the opposition team is tired, then bring on a quality attacking option like Jesus to take advantage of the opposition.
But the problem is that Ndoye handicaps attacks so often, that all it does in reality is make the opposition feel more comfortable and hands them an advantage.
The most surprising bit about that is that it implies he won a competitionPlayed like a competition winner. Might as well start with 10 on the pitch
Glasner wants a fast player who runs beyond. Like Sarr. Jesus drops short to collect the ball, and is too slow (in Glasner's opinion). I'd have liked to see Hutchinson in this role. Or Kali. Or anyone else in the world, really.Errrrrrmmm....Jesus
Fully agree- it seems this role is critical to the formation-someone with pace who can stretch the play then create more space for others. I’m not sure what the answer is-do we keep going with Ndoye or go with Jesus but thinks may potentially impact on the game plan. Jesus has got in goal positions but is that due to the game state.Glasner wants a fast player who runs beyond. Like Sarr. The problem is that it's pointless when Ndoye is lightweight and has zero end product.Glasner wants a fast player who runs beyond. Like Sarr.
