Curtis Jones

I came to point out that there seems to be some furore on X with him putting an emoji response to a story, honestly I have no idea what the one he put even means.

It does remind me of my community Facebook page where an old lady got taken to task because what she thought was putting thumbs up emojis and they turned out to be middle finger ones instead.

I'm not bothered if we sign this guy or not though so whatever emoji fits that is how I feel, I'm going for 🥱

I've got no idea what it means either. It could be interpreted a couple of ways, as in "you've got that wrong" or "why are you putting this into out"

Italian reporters are nearly as bad as the Turkish ones.

"...30 mil!?!. I'm worth at least 60..."

Liverpool: "...we'll take 25"

I suppose we have to cut the player some slack in this situation. After living in Liverpool your whole life (poor lad), the prospect of Milan and the San Siro must really get into your head.

At the same time, if that's his reaction, we'll just move on and find someone who wants to come here, seeing as we won't be short on interested parties under Glasner.

Surely if there was any doubt in Jones’ mind about coming to Forest. Our recruitment team would have got wind of this and moved onto the next target by now?
If there is truth that we are close to an agreement with Liverpool, then there must be some kind of indication that Jones is willing for the move.

I do wonder if the "player has doubts" line is trotted out so that if a signing isn't made then those outlets can point to that as the reason rather than they got it wrong.

I agree. I think these days there are so many online journalists/content creators that create content for the sake of creating content and will often come up with any story that will generate a view/like which then gets copied and reposted by others to generate views for their own channel…
I take transfer link with a pinch of salt until it is officially confirmed. We are either in for Jones and he wants to come or we are not. But there is no way we have spent the last 3 weeks chasing a player who is reluctant to come here.

Players and agents main priority is securing the best deal possible, I wouldn't pay too much attention to all the posturing inbetween as it's generally just a push for a better deal

Talk on the Liverpool forum was that Inter were bidding in the high teens low 20s which they were scoffing at. They say there's no way they could buy anyone as his level for that fee so might as well keep him

The market for midfielders is inflated now(thanks to us). I think up to £35mil for Jones is still good value and less of a gamble than bringing someone foreign in and hoping they can adjust.
