If we're talking squad, as opposed to team, it's far better than then.
We had a fantastic starting lineup in 94/95, and a lot of luck with injuries, but our second choice XI would have included Gary Bull, Kingsley Black, and Paul McGregor.

We had better depth with Jota & Danilo. I’d much rather they were getting minutes ahead of some of the shit that played today, we would probably be better off too.
Our recruitment last year was so much better, a couple of core starters and then some energy that could come off the bench.
In January we just needed 1 signing who could compete with the starting 11, but unfortunately we didn’t do that.
Despite our huge investment this season we are somehow even weaker than we were last year, it really has been a disaster.
Brazilians aside since they are pretty cost efficient deals, the 2 that will probably turn out to be fairly decent in the end will be Hutchinson & N’Doye (I still think he might come good).
I don’t think either ever hit a level that justify their price tags though.
We lost our manager that was part of the squads soul, signed a ton of overpriced rubbish, hired an amateur as a manger and have had to try and repair that damage with a bit of a dinosaur who is polar opposite in terms of personality to what the squad thrived off.
The players who were part of the squad last year probably have rock bottom morale and who can blame them.
Who is to blame? As hard as I find it to criticise him, since he took us from Fawaz to what we have now - Plus the fact he has invested in so much more than just the players pitch - but EM simply has to take blame.
By no means am I saying I want him gone, I hope he stays forever, I just hope he really learns from this one. I just hope it’s not a lesson that ends up in the Championship.
Let’s start righting the wrongs by sending Edu to the Gulag ASAP.

We've lost a 20 goal striker and a winger with GA of 18. That's a lot of goals to replace. The replacements have been very lacking.
Bakwa shown nothing so far, Ndoye not much better. Downgrade on Sosa and Jota on current showing. Hutchinson has shown some promise but is very young so a work in progress, time will tell whether he kicks on or flatters to deceive.
Not sure why Luiz isn't getting many minutes with Sangare away, club has plenty of leeway with respect to the obligation. He's not been bad, and will improve if given a run of games.
Morato has regressed rather that stepping up. Omobomidele was better then him. Stay away from Benfica transfers from now on.

Looks like some have survived the window. Squad of 25 pretty much set. Boly and Awonyi get a reprieve really.
Also looks like Wood will be retained in the 25, so perhaps he will be back before the end of the season ?
