• All - you probably don't need to be told, but....
Despite the Admins' best efforts some spammers/scammers/scalpers are getting through the entry system and are, astonishingly, in possession of FA Cup tickets that they, astonishingly, don't want!

It's probably a scam, and either way it's a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, (as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006) to offer or expose tickets for sale.

Please DO NOT engage with these people - please REPORT any threads/posts offering tickets for sale in case we've not caught them.

Cumulative Weekly Points Position

I have plotted Forest's weekly cumulative points for the season to date, and compared it with Aston Villa in 2023-24, and Newcastle for 2022-23 season, being the seasons Villa and Newcastle qualified for the Champions League in the following season:

Interesting to see between week 25 & 29 they both had a nice run of picking up points. If Forest carry on as they are they'll beat Newcastle's points tally by 3 points.

To match Villa's point tally they can afford to drop to 1.6pt per game(obviously not recommended)

Definitely makes for an interesting last few months of the season.

OK: normal service resumed for our season!
I can't believe there are only 14 games to go... time passes increasingly quickly as one gets older!

And for our European Dream... we continue to match Villa, in their qualifying season, and are ahead of Newcastle in theirs.
Mind you, Villa tailed off towards the season's end, whereas Newcastle got stronger.
Hopefully, our season will continue to progress the right way!

The more i look at the table, the more i think that if we finish above Bournemouth, we'll be in Europe.

I just cannot see us finishing above City, Chelsea, Newcastle and Villa (forgetting Liverpool and Arsenal) over the course of a full season so i think it's between us and Bournemouth for 7th.

I just hope 8th might be a European spot too.

We're 5 ahead of Villa with a game in hand on them. They've only got 11 games left and plus they're in Europe still. If we can avoid defeat to them at Villa park we'll almost certainly finish above them.

And I think you do a discredit to Bournemouth, who have been excellent, and for my money will finish above Villa and Chelsea.

Suspect final table less Forest will be:

Liverpool
Arsenal
Newcastle
Man City
Bournemouth
Chelsea
Villa

And I'd be slotting Forest in somewhere immediately below Arsenal and immediately above Villa, with absolutely no confidence about whether that's ahead of Newcastle or behind Chelsea.

City would be my favourites for third now. They don't have Europe and Pep won't want them missing out on Champions League. Yes, they lost yesterday, but they battered Newcastle the week before, and I have a feeling they will win most of their run in games.

Chelsea look ropey, very hit or miss. Villa are difficult to tell, they don't have the goalscoring back up they did previously but their new signings look bright. Newcastle, I'd back to be top four, especially once Joelinton returns.

Bournemouth really don't have a tough run in. They could amaze everyone.

All gives SKY something to truly get excited about now the Title and relegation situations are all but confirmed.

It really is impossible to call. You always get weird results in the run in. The fact we even have a shot is remarkable. My gut feel (as a pessimistic Forest fan who is still more accustomed to failure) is that we come up just short of Champions League, but may hold on for Europa League or Conference League, especially if that goes down to 8th.

Of course we could qualify for the Europa League by winning the FA Cup!

We do need a couple of decent results soon to bring the belief back.

Whilst we’ve stalled a bit over the past couple of weeks, our competitors haven’t exactly done that well either. Defeats for Villa and Bournemouth again still leave us looking well placed. Obviously, we’re in the middle of a very tricky run of games but if we can take something out of the Arsenal and City games we’ll be still very much in the mix for CL football with ten games to go. Who’d have thought that would be possible at the start of the season?

Chelsea, Man city, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Fulham all seeing our stuttering recent progress and obviously thinking they can grab a european place at our expense.
Bournemouth played their best football to cream us.
Fulham played their best football of the season, and would have creamed us but for Matz Sels.
Newcastle creamed us for 11 minutes, before they remembered they had a Wembley Final coming up.
We haven't had the return fixture v Chelsea until the final day of the season.
Perhaps that will be our time to cream them?

I think top 4 will be a stretch too far now, but for the Europa League - how many wins do you think we need from the last 11 games?

I think 4 (takes us to 60 points) will do it.

Unless Arsenal have a complete melt down, I see the Top 5 as being: Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, and either Newcastle or us.

Chelsea get results when their fixtures are easier. You’d hope to see the same be true for us. Opta still has us 4th, ahead of Chelsea and Newcastle. Looking at the run-ins and the performances so far, that maths makes complete sense to me. It’s only my experience of Forest collapses that tempt me to feel otherwise, but what good would that do…
